CFN has BG vs. Missouri in the Fort Worth Bowl. I'll take it! We've beaten Mizzou 3-outta-4, how about 4-outta-5?

As cool as it would be to see this happen, its also worth noting that they've listed FOUR MAC schools as going to Bowls. They've got BG, UT, Marshall, and NIU. Not too bad to me, Jeff

I'll tell you what....if BG ends up there, I'M THERE...no doubt about it. Anytime we can kick Gary Stinkel's butt it's worth it.

BG vs. Mizzou? What is this, the post season, bowl review of BCS teams we have beaten? Ok, I'll take that!

My inlaws live in Richardson just outside of Dallas. I already have a place to stay.
I doubt highly we would get the FW Bowl with another midwest team. It's not very marketable for them thar Texicans.

Any of you journalists on the board know how smug Mizzou grads are (apparently, Missouri's J-school is top 5 in the nation). Included in that group are the managing editor, sports editor, executive editor and a reporter at the paper at which I work.
My boss and I got into an argument today about BG and Missouri when I told him about this possibility. He argued that BG doesn't play anyone.
The argument sucks. Yes the MAC sucks, as does Temple. But we played Oklahoma, played top-25 NIU and will play top-25 contenders UT and Marshall.
On the other hand, Missouri just LOST to Nebraska, a team that let a Texas Tech team rack up 70.
They also play Baylor, lost to Troy (who I think is actually OK), Arkansas State, Ball State and Iowa State.
Ugh.
Missouri sucks. As does any Mizzou fan's argument about BG and smaller schools.
Needless to say, I'm wanting this to happen, badly. Come on Falcons, win out!

yep MIZZ isn't very good this year and theres no way in all hell that their defense would be able to contain our spread offense with Jacobs at the helm and how well he is playing. Our defense would give up yards and some points but, like Utah and Boise State, we score on our opponents much faster than they can score on us. I think the score would be something like 42-21 assuming no terrible tackling (like in the NIU game) and no turnovers or INTS which we haven't been giving up at all lately.

Jham,
Politely remind the Tiger fan that BG leads the all time series 3-1...with 3 of those games in Mizzou.
And especially remind him of the last time we played...kicked Tiger Azz all night!!! 51-28...still one of my fave games.
We'd kick their azz this yr as well. Bring it, kittycat.

Do you really need to say anything else except "3-1"?
Trev Alberts?

No, I don't, and I almost just posted now that I didn't get it. But I do now.
and it was fiarly humorous. No, I can actually stand to be in the same room with my boss, which is probably more than I can say for Alberts (although I've never tried).
