I know Jacobs got allocated to NFL Europe by KC, but I wonder what to think of this. Jacobs is now listed on KC's roster and not on the Thunder's roster:

I hope that's a good sign.

Any player allocated by an NFL team should be on that NFL teams roster. They are under contract by that NFL team.

He's on the IR roster as he has been all season long.

On top of that the NFL teams get an roster exemption right now for all NFL Europe players. So right now Omar is on their roster, but not officially counting against it, so they have no reason to remove him from it. Surviving that wave of cuts when the exemption ends will be a major hurdle. Given that he's been hurt and not even playing in NFLE doesn't bode real well for his chances.

Great point. I think they get that exemption up until the final cuts actually.

I'm not positive, but I thought that it was earlier than the final cuts, but it would last until sometime after the preseason games were started. I could be wrong though.

I am not certain either. But it is good for Jacobs. If they like him at all they can keep him around and get him healthy. Their major concern now at QB is who is starting.

It looks like a guy named Casey Printers is his only current competition for the 3rd spot.

One more guy I missed

If I remember correctly, Casey Printers was a pretty big name in Canadian football, and KC signed him as the heir-apparent to Green before they drafted Croyle...It seems fairly set that Croyle and Huard will go 1-2. Hopefully, they keep Omar and let him battle for the 3rd spot through the preseason, though that could be uphill against someone who has already enjoyed some professional success...

PS...I think that any team with Jacobs on the roster gets the exemption even if they did not allocate him.

But that may be wrong.
