Maybe they can have teams in smaller cities and schedule the games every night of the week! Oh, wait, that's the MAC.

Credibility has been a major problem for NFL Europe. A bona fide NFL franchise might make a difference. On the other hand, and I guess NFL knows better than most, there are two kinds of king in football, and in Europe footballs are round.
"American" football in Europe has the same problem "soccer" has in the States. It just isn't the best sport has to offer the paying fan. Who wants to go see NFL practice squads, when you can go see a Manchester United team that can beat more than a handful of national soccer squads in a stadium it fills with 70,000+ fans at least 30 times a year between August and May, or even settle for Liverpool. The alternative is to stay home and watch NFL stateside on satellite. Or actually, watch the BGSU box scores on the ESPN web site. Its no different in Germany, France, Spain, or Italy.
Still, there is a lot of grass root support, even field turf support for the pigskin, and I'm really glad to see the Dolphins coming to London this season.

NFL Europe was expensive minor league football. Taking nearly all American rosters half way around the world to play a game that is a novelty was a gamble. I really wonder if the smaller cities in the U.S. could support this brand of football during the NFL off season.

Indeed. The only good news about Liverpool this season was when the new owners said they were relocating the team. I was thinking maybe Lithuania, maybe Albania, where they could still qualify for European cometition. Then they said they were relocating to a new stadium on the other side of
Stanley Park, a literal stone's throw away. Liverpool. Its like having the Pittsburgh Steelers in your back yard. Or maybe the Denver Broncos. But not, alas, an NFL Europe team.
