I need your support this Election Day!!!

As stated in earlier posts, I am headed to Oxford tonight to cheer against Toledo. Gettting final clearance from Mrs. Tech83 was easy, but she questions my desire to see a Miami win against Toledo. Her statement "Is Bowling Green playing? ..... No...... Who cares?"

Now my fellow Falcon Fans it is should be clearly obvious to us all that a strong Miami Victory tonight will only benefit our beloved Falcons. A Toledo loss, an NIU loss and BGSU winning out the season is what this country needs. And we need it now. I need your support in this important matter on Election Day. Send me your support for a Miami Victory over those ne'rdowells from the North. I appreciate your vote. :-)

BGSU forever. Toledo Never.

Oh. And Hope is on the way.:-)

With the bowl projections beginning to pick us as a representative, I think it is becoming more and more likely that we can still make a bowl regardless of who wins this game tonight. BG just has to win out. But, just to be safe, I'll be "routing" (I kind hate myself for writing that :vom: ::puke:: ) for TU to win over Miami.

I am not sure that is in our best interest! I think what we really need is for Toledo to beat Miami and NIU and then we beat Toledo to create a three-way tie, for the division.
Anyone have a better solution?

Toledo loses to Miami, NIU loses to both Toledo and Eastern (on the road where they have struggled recently), We beat Toledo. That gives UT and NIU two losses and we have one. Makes us West champs. :D

Best cheer for UT. I don't see NIU losing to EMU.

Okay - I take this as a YES vote under the lesser of two evils theory. Although I think you need to add the part where there are more bleach blondes in Oxford per Square Mile than anywhere in the U.S. of A.

I will take this as a NO vote. And Mrs. Tech83 thinks I married quite well. :-)

I think it comes down more to who has what kind of wins on their record as opposed to us winning the West... with one, maybe two extra bowl bids open for the MAC this year, do we want Toledo winning and getting a "quality" win? Or do we want them to lose and be out of the bowl picture when we beat them on Nov. 23? If Miami beats Toledo, their only conference loss will likely be Marshall, right? Which puts them in the same boat as us when bowl committees come knocking. If all goes to plan, and we beat Toledo, why not have Miami pick up a loss tonight, so when we eliminate Toledo, we are the clear cut 3rd choice for a MAC bowl game? If the division title still falls our way, great, but as outside of a chance as that's looking, bowl positioning is becoming that much more important.

You probably didn't think they would have to go to overtime to beat Ball st. either

Now I'm REALLY confused!!

Ok, so WHICH TEAM should we root for tonight??? Which team's win will benefit BG the most? On the MAC Board, they were having this same discussion, with not a lot resolved!! http://www.ncaabbs.com/forums/mac/invis ... 0eb2f6aa26

So, Falcon Footbal Fans....Which team should BG Fans cheer for tonight??? Personally, I want Toledump to lose...PERIOD, just because they are TOLEDUMP!!! It kind of goes against my religion to root for them in any situation!

Think of it like this--a Win-win.

We need Toledo to win. Of that there can be no doubt. I don't believe these at-large bowl scenarios until they happen. And the surest route is for a three-way tie to occur, and for that to occur, we need UT to win.

If they don't you have a nice consolation prize. Toledo will lose and they suck and we hate them
