I wasn't criticizing Vandelay's prediction in anyway. I simply think it will prove to be wrong based on what I have seen and heard about this team.JoeFalcon wrote:Central Michigan 5-7? I give Nick credit for going out on a limb and not basing it exclusively on what happened last year like 95% of preseason predictions do.
We won for 5 years and got respect (for the most part) each subsequent year. One losing season and we're back to the drawing board in the predictions game.
I'm with you. Predictions go out the window on the first snap of the first game. I despise them in general, but I respect Nick because he follows the league 12 months a year and does his research. With improved special teams and downfield passing, I'm expecting a return to the top of the conference.Bleeding Orange wrote:I wasn't criticizing Vandelay's prediction in anyway. I agree on all points. Nick does his homework and this is how he feels the MAC will shake out in 2007. We all have predictions. IMO, I don't see Akron getting over .500 this year. They lost Getsy and 4 of their 5 O linemen.JoeFalcon wrote:I'm with you. Predictions go out the window on the first snap of the first game. A-frickin'-Men. The actual season is all that really matters.1987alum wrote:Yep, predictions are great message board fodder, but they don't mean squat once the season starts.
Can't wait to see the Falcons get rolling this year!
