1.) Are the endzones still going to be done? I gather that by the amount of people walking on the fake turf the past few days and the fact that the hash marks look less limp on camera that the grind infill is in. I thought they couldn't change the endzone after the grind was infused?
2.) Is the logo painted on or made with colored turf cutouts?
3.) Will someone, please take pictures soon!?!?!?!
The grind isn't in. I was there yesterday evening (you may have seen me in front of the sebocam on the home side) and I also walked down onto the field. All of the bags of the grind are still sitting outside of the field. I'm not entirely sure what they are doing right now, but it looks like they are finishing the seams and are also trimming the outside edges to blend it into the drains better. I imagine the grind won't be laid until later this week or even next week.
I didn't walk out to the middle of the field to check it out mainly because all of the workers were still there and I figured I'd end up getting into trouble. Perhaps I'll trek out there here soon to check out the middle logo, or maybe I'll just ask one of the workers to find out.
Actually, at the time I was there last evening, some of the bags of grind had been moved in to the south end-zone area. Looks like it may be getting close to application. There was also a great deal of really fine sand piled up on the west side outside the stadium.
I took some photos, but didn't get in till late last night and didn't get them off my camera.

OK - so no grind yet...does that mean they might still be doing the endzones soon?
Oh and 51 - I have wasted a lot of company bandwitdh on the sebocam...I just loved everyones artistic pics. And I keep wondering how Grant's wife is so much younger than he is

I dont know how they put the logo down, but I know that the Vikings and the Twins have turf in the MetroDome. They can remove lines they put down, so I wonder if BG's turf can be removed.
FYI
the dark green was really that dark...I went to the N and looked down and the whole walk the green when viewed straight down on was that rich dark green.
ps aside from the piss poor new logo the field is truly a handsome brute!
Man, this new field is + the Sebo is giving the Doyt a slightly more big time feel as apposed to glorified HS atmosphere. It should look even better with a packed stadium. In the future hopefully there will come a time when we can easily justify increasing seats and building a full south grandseating attached to both the East and West sides.
the Sebo should have been built ....odd as the building is any way....but with orange glass and the stadium should be painted orange
with orange neon ...traditional falcon logo.
OMG! They totally missed the endzone with the logo!!! Maybe that's our defensive strategy for next year... hope the opponents stop when they get to the "GREEN", spike the ball, and we recover.
Pics look good. Thanks MACMAN.. you can live another day.
