I have seen and touched the real thing, but, alas, I have no pictures.

I think they are. Friday when the Freaklings and I were at SBX, there were new helmet decals for cars and the helmet was sporting an interlocking "BG". I was so blown away by the Sebo and new turf I forgot to ask Coach B about the new helmets.

They had the new helmets at the golf outing and, yes, they are exactly like the picture on the official site. Alas, I have no pictures either. Still, I was surprised at how good it looked. I didn't think I was going to like a different helmet, but it is sharp looking, and I think it will more readily identify us on TV. As much as I liked the old ones (and I really, really did), I have to admit that our old helmet logos were very difficult to discern on television broadcasts.

Yeah I agree alot of my family would ask me what the LT stands for on the helmets, and I would say it's a falcon theyd say it doesnt look like one. Thanks for the info.

Hopefully Never! He didn't change it when they took the white out of the logo, so why change it now?

Funny how it took me this long before I even noticed the LT. All I ever saw before was the falcon head.

I never saw the "LT" either until people on here said that they had people asking them what "LT" stood for. Now, I do see it, if I look for it, but it's still a falcon head to me.

The Helmet Project website has our new helmet listed. I must say, after looking at all of our designs, I like the new look we will be using this year the best out of any of the helmets we have worn. I really like the new font we are using across the board with BG and Bowling Green. I think it looks fresh, crisp and sharp.

You know, I'm actually VERY surprised that they didn't put the peek-a-boo BG on the helmets to match the 50 yard line and I'm actually very disappointed that they didn't. Since the first helmet design, there has been a falcon on it and now, it will be a bit disheartening not to have a Falcon on the helmet. I do like the new helmets and the interlocking BG logo but again, I'm gonna miss having a Falcon on the helmet.

I take that back...in 1968 they had the interlocking "BG" Other than that, it has either been blank or had a Falcon.
