Since J.D. Campbell left for Indiana, who is taking over as the new Sports Information Director? I put this in football because whenever I was at a FB presser, J.D. was there. Any word on who will be his successor??? With my experience with Falcon Athletics, I know there are many capable individuals that could take this position. I just hope they promote one of those folks rather than hire someone from the outside.

Mike Cihon will be the new SID and Erin Schorr will be an assistant SID after being a grad student in the dept the last two years.

If this is true, this is fantastic news. I can't think of anyone in the department more qualified or deserving than Mike.

I worked with Erin a bit when I did softball for BGRSO. She did a great job and I'm sure she'll make a great SID.

I will agree whole-heartedly that Mike and Erin will make an OUTSTANDING team. I worked with them both a million times as the Sports Director for BG24 News. This is great news. These two will NOT jerk people around like J.D. had a knack for. He wouldn't even confirm for me that Louis Orr was going to be the Men's B-Ball coach...Oh well, broke the story anyways.

First time I've read or heard harsh words regarding J.D. . . .

VW, I agree working with J.D. was no walk in the park, especially early on. But the fact was he did really did a good job with SID and always had his s**t together.

Mike and Erin will do a awesome job though, working with them was always a breeze. I have to wonder a few things though:

What role does Dave now assume?
Will there only be three full-time people in that office? Hirings?
Will Mike/Erin find the JD-tude to call me at 9 am to tell me what I messed up?

Mike Cihon was around way back when I was there. I really liked the guy. I guess I always had the sense that he was kind of putting up with me, but I appreciated the effort.
