Injuries, etc

I noticed on the "others playing" list that Jimmy Carson is listed as having played last week against EMU. Sorry if it's been addressed already, but anyone know the scoop on that?
Any news on injuries?
I was hoping Reese would get some good playing time this year and be a stud next year. Anyone know why he left the team? I'm a little worried about the LB position next year.

Two things.
Those player participation things are often wrong. I remember they had Andrew Hart playing once when he was on crutches.
Second, do we know Jenkins Reese left the team (there was a rumor here to that effect) or was he injured (which someone else thought).

From today's Blade: "… Brandon said linebacker Jenkins Reese, who did not play after suffering an ankle injury at Temple, has quit the team."

Reese is in one of my classes and seems injury free and seems happy. I dont know the deal and I am not going to ask him why he quit but from what I've seen he seems perfectly fine.

A quote from one of his defensive (former) team mates.
"It's stupid, I don't want to talk about it"
I think that about sums it up and as much as we may want to know what happened, it's probably time to just let it go.
I wouldn't be too worried about the linebacking corps for next year.
Winovich is going to be a beast, then there's Schaefer, Jakubowski, White, Haneline, Sharpe, and Johnson just to name a few and don't forget Piepkow will be back.[/quote]

I'll agree with able1 on this. We have great depth at LB and while it sucks to see anyone leave the team, I don't think it will hurt us too bad. From other posts about moving Winovich over to defense, the only thing I could see him playing is LB. That adds a superior player to the LB position and takes all my worries away! Go Falcons!
