Freddie Barnes hurt in practice

I was at the afternoon session today and during 7 on 7 drills Barnes leaped for a high pass and landed akwardly. He hopped off on one foot to the sideline and then went to the ground. After the trainer looked at it he walked up and down the sideline trying to walk it off but still had a noticeable limp. After a few minutes, he limped to the locker room and did not return. I hope it wasn't anything major (it didnt look too serious) but he may miss a few practices. We need Freddie B this season, he is a major playmaker for an offense which lacks them.
In 7 on 7's and team, the offense looked poor. The highlight was during a 2 minute drill, Turner hit a streaking #12 (not sure who that is, im sure someone here does) down the middle for about a 45 yard touchdown. It was nice to see a great pass from AT and the receiver beat 2 guys to make the catch around the goaline. The defense looks awesome, a couple sacks, some nice pass breakups by antonio smith and kenny lewis. The D will be the strength of the team this year. God, it was great to see Falcon Football in person at the Doyt. Can't wait for the season!!!!!

That's my boy, I hope he is ok. I listened to the interviews of coach Brandon from the spring today and he was talking about Freddie still playing some QB for sure. He also mentioned Winovich in that same breath, so I assume that means our all time favorite play the QB Draw! As long as it works, I guess I shouldnt complain!

Man I hope he is okay. He's going to be a key part of our team. After he dealt with all the injury issues last year, I can only hope he has a healthy season this year.
