Suisham missed a 47 yarder off the upright, Khary has 2 tackles so far, Charles Sharon has 2 catches for 21 yards, and Steve Sanders had a catch wiped away with a KC flag.
In non-BG news, I think Bernie just finished his second 12 pack in the TV booth at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

Everyone always says that about Bernie after they hear him speak, and I've actually heard him address the issue on the radio before. The simple truth is that he is not drunk. He just went to the U.

QB U?
QB U?
Are you freaking serious?
TE U, I would grant.
RB U, they may be able to lay a claim with recent products.
They've produced some great LBs, DBs, and Linemen on both sides of the ball, but QB U!?
Seriously man, Bernie is the best QB to come from Miami in my memory, and as much as I loved him, he won't need to await the call from the HoF. Testaverde was average. Since then it's been a whole lotta Ken Dorsey & Gino Toretta.
Has there EVER been a truly great QB to come from Miami? I certainly wouldn't call it QB U!

Agreed. You forgot Thug U. Jim Kelly, Bernie Kosar and Vinny Testaverde had good careers. Walsh, Erickson and Terretta were below average.
I am sure there are a lot of schools that could claim they were QB U. Off the top of my head, Purdue had Dawson, Griese and Brees that had successful careers. Phipps and Orton were (are) more successful than Walsh, etc.

Forgot that Jim Kelly was a Miami(FL) guy. He'd have to be the best of their QBs.
I don't really think any one university has much of a claim to being called QB U, there just aren't any that consistently put decent QBs into the Pros.
In my liftime Michigan would probably be the best.
Harbaugh
Grbac
Griese
Brady
Henson
Collins
All have started in the league. One's a surefire HoF. Harbaugh & Griese had their moments.
I can't really think of any other school to put this many starters into the league in my recent memory. Henne will likely be a first day draft pick next year as well...he may go in the first round with a big senior campaign.

I will change my stance, how about NFL U?
We've had some very good collegiate QB's that haven't panned out or weren't made for the NFL. We had great QBs throughout the late 80s/early 90s, now we've had a number of great players on defense (DBs/LBs) and TEs/RBs/WRs over the past 5-10 years.
But I really hope those of you calling Miami "Thug U" aren't Ohio St fans, b/c it's hilarious that fans of the most crooked program in the nation can point fingers at Miami....

Nope. We're BG fans.
To bring the thread back on-topic... Ch. 13 in Toledo showed Shaun's miss from the other night.. 47 yards and it hit WAY high on the upright. A couple inches right and it's a huge make for him. He made both his PAT's and his second two kicks were to the 1 and 5 yards deep (his first went OB at the 10... between the KO's and the FG, I wonder if there was some wind).

...or maybe just some jitters. He'll work them out and he'll be just fine.

I hate to even give the impression of hijacking this thread, but can we please,
please move this thread to the "Other Schools" forum so I can watch OSU and UM fans duke it out over who is more corrupt? PLEASE? I have been quite bored lately, and it would go a long way towards killing time until the Minni game takes place!

The competition for playing time at wide receiver in Jacksonville is wide open. Ernest Wilford, who sprained his left knee Tuesday, is listed as a starter along with newcomer Dennis Northcutt. Jaguars wide receivers coach Todd Monken told the Florida Times-Union that Jacksonville's top receivers after those two are undrafted second-year man Charles Sharon and then Matt Jones, who is working in the slot. Reggie Williams, who's next in line, and Jones are obviously being challenged to finally prove themselves.

If I had to chose a school as "Quarterback U" I would probably say USC.
Pat Haden
Pete Beathard
Vince Evans
Rodney Peete
Bill Nelson
Carson Palmer
Matt Leinhart
soon to be JD Booty
I want to say Purdue bc I go there, but I would think they could be a lidgit 2nd..
Len Dawson
Bob Greise
Mike Phipps
Gary Danielson
Mark Herrmann
Jim Everett
Drew Brees
Kyle Orton
