Hey guys,

Basically creating this thread for the first two weeks of the season, and obviously since no one knows how the BTN will run their schedules, this thread will be used for people who will know of places and cable companies who will be showing either of BG's games. Hopefully this way everyone can know where to go if indeed someone is able to pick up the BG games.

Next Saturday I'm hoping either Eddie George's or Buffalo Wild Wings in Columbus will be showing it. I know both have Direct TV. For the second game against MSU I'm not sure how the Big Ten will run its channel because both OSU/Akron and BG/MSU will be playing at the same time both are supposed to be on the network. I know in Columbus what the priority will be. I'm hoping that somehow I can still see the game.

Does any place in BG have Direct TV? Frickers? BW's? The Pub on campus?

BW'3 has it if I'm not mistaken. I know last year I got to watch the CMU game there that was on ESPNU.

Pretty much every bar in BG uses DirecTV nowadays. They have to have it if they want the NFL ticket, so they should all have the game(s) too.

The Big Ten Network is making all of its games available to cable and satellite operators as part of their agreements to carry BTN. Whenever the Big Ten Network is producing more than one game at a time, cable and satellite providers that have agreed to carry the Big Ten Network will be offered the chance to carry the additional games via "overflow" channels.

For example, let's assume that at noon ET one Saturday the Big Ten Network is producing two games (Penn State vs. Illinois and Michigan vs. Northwestern). If the Penn State-Illinois game is airing on the Big Ten Network, your cable or satellite system will be given the rights to carry the Michigan-Northwestern game on an "overflow" channel.

DirecTV has indicated that they plan on airing all of our "overflow" games. For cable operators, the decision whether or not to air BTN "overflow" games will be made by the cable operator.

Overall, the Big Ten Network will be producing significantly more football and men's basketball games than have aired regionally in recent years, and these games will be made available to all cable and satellite systems as part of their contracts to carry the Big Ten Network.

We sincerely appreciate your email and interest in the Big Ten Network.

Sincerely,
The Big Ten Network web team

Man, that's great news to hear. I'll be going back home to Toledo so hopefully the BG game will be the main game shown, or they'll do the overflow with it on Buckeye.

That's why I hate that I'm stuck with Time Warner in BG. That cable company charges a fortune for a poor product, but since I live in an apartment satelite isn't a very good option for me.

I'm sure B-Dubs, Downtown, etc. will have the BG game on, if not make the trek up to Toledo and I'm sure it'll be on.

I know who I do want to contact about the game. If the Pub is showing it, I want to go there. It's a little less crowded, so I may not have to fight for a seat.
