Suisham connects

Post by TG1996 »

Shaun hit both his FG tries last night in the rain vs. Baltimore, and earned an NFL.com "game ball", for whatever that's worth.

He also has a pretty cool article in the Washington Post, linked through the BG athletic site:

Also for the Redskins, Khary Campbell got the start, but didn't have any tackles. Pretty interesting for a non-starter, Khary now has the longest tenure with the team of any 'Skins linebacker.

I wonder whats keeping Khary from starting for the Redskins. He not big enough, fast enough? :?

My guess is it might have something to do with his 0 tackles. If he does that in a game, that's not very good news.

:? Dude I'm talkin' about Cambell not Suisham I was just wonderin' why he's never been able to start at LB for Washington.

Dude Campbell didn't have any tackles yesterday.

And the reason he doesn't start at LB for Washington is that your brain wouldn't be able to handle the good news without imploding. It's a shame that Khary's career has to suffer to feed your negativity.

Actually, he has seen some starting time in the league, but he's also had injury issues. I think his story of perseverance through cuts and injuries after being an UDFA out of college is one to be commended. He's put in his time and hopefully the starts will come. Either way, he's been a pretty steady contributor around his injuries in the league.

I watched him start a game last year. I believe it was against Minnesota and they were intentionally throwing the ball to whoever he was covering. It was hard to watch.
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

I made my annual trip to a Redskins game Saturday night. Besides the 2 field goals, and the extra point, I also got to watch Shaun practice prior to the game. He finished up by splitting the uprights from around the 50 yard line.

What impressed me most about his kicks was the ball doesn't hook or slice, it just goes straight.

One of his kickoffs went to the goal line. I don't know how much the wind effects the ball at FedEx Field because the stadium isn't open at any of the ends.

Last year, I watched him kick against the Eagles.
