Cool pic of Corey for sure!

As a Web geek, the way the S-T put this online is amusing, to say the least.

No more TE?

From reading the articles form that link , its sounds like we're done with the TE almost. I'm very disappointed if thats true. Using at least one TE is critical for extra Qb protection and for having a nice big target to throw to in short passing situations. I heard Scheidler was coming along well last I heard. I don't know what gives there.

The staff decided the TE's just weren't big enough and decided to stop using that position all together.....

Check out Bull Dozier's pic...dude looks pissed! LOL!

And, I didn't know Jacob Hardwick was white! They have Garth Hartung for his pic. Nice to see the hometown paper does its research.

71 hours and 57 minutes...

Somebody should tell the Sentinel that they have Michigan's schedule wrong. They have Michigan playing Eastern twice, and once AT Eastern. That second eastern should be at Wisconsin.

Go Sentinel!

The TE's are playing fullback...in our scheme FB/Te is kind of a po-tay-toe//po-tah-toe thing anyway. the duties are pretty similar and the guys executing them are former TE's.

So this answers the question of where all the football articles are.

But the questions surrounding where they aren't remain unanswered...

The S-T also had a full page in the regular Sports section dedicated to a preview of the Minn game. Kind of like the weekly press notes slimmed down to one page in the newspaper.

One cool thing they did have was a "Countdown to Toledo: 87 days" in about a 2" by 2" area. Like to see the focus put on that game. But they probably should have that in the paper everyday!

I was thinking the exact same thing. It has been wierd to see nothing related to the football program in the ST.

So far as the TE's go, I'm actually happy to hear that we are losing the position this year. Under normal circumstances I would probably be a bit upset, but after the drudgery and monotony of last season's offense, dropping the TE position tells me that we are, in fact, going to open up the playbook a bit more. So far as I can recall, it was only over the past two years that the TE became an integral part of our offensive scheme. And, over the past two years we were...uhhh....well...you know.

And Warthog, I'm totally with you. The ST, and more importantly, the BG News should have a daily countdown to the UT game printed daily! It doesn't have to be half of a page, but anything to keep it in the back of the fan's and the team's mind, in my opinion, can't be a bad thing.

Fellas,

TOTALLY agree about the countdown to the UT game. This game MUST, MUST be on everyone's mind related to the BG program. One game lost in a row is too many but three?????? :x   :x And BG is 3-9 vs UT in the last 12. That simply must end this year. It's time for BG to start winning this game again on a consistent basis. ENOUGH.

I know it's 87 days away but......BEAT TOLEDO!
