He says he wants to add weight...that would be scary!

"I want to bulk up when I get to college and probably play offensive guard," Steffy said. "I want to stay at about the same weight."

He wants to add bulk, not weight. Even better :D

Fairly old article, but I still love hearing about BG's recruiting perseverance. Steffy sounds like another diamond in the rough that BG has managed to find.

Shane Steffy is the subject of the article, not Kaufman.
You skimmed all your homework in high school too didn't you?(jk) :P

That picture that goes along with it, sadly reminds me of myself and my best friend in high school. I was the 5'9" 130lb cross country runner, he was the 6'3" 325lb oline man who coincidentally showed some interest in BG out of high school.

Holy Cow, Shane looks like he is about 12, what a baby face that kid has!!! But I am sure, at 300 lbs, no one is teasing him about his baby face!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
