I still can't stop smiling. TS was THE MAN last night. Should we start a thread for how clutch our kicker was too?

Yes, we do. And AT is not a bad backup to have, experienced and knowst the offense. While he is not the passer Sheehan is, let's hope he stays focused and will continue to contribute the way he did yesterday.

He looked so confident and poised in the pocket. A complete 180 from his time as true frosh. Instead of lofting a prayer when the blitz came he found the open guy and delivered. In that clip of the 2pt. conversion look at how he is barking out instructions and taking control- even in the face of our senior all-america center.

I think the 2 qb rotation can work and if Turner walks the walk of wanting to help the team win like he said in preseason then it can be very effective.

The ingredients were there last year we just sprinkled some JUCO in, simmered to a crisp brown finish and voila!

Rotation? From what I saw, TS should constitute a 1 man rotation. The only reasons I see for AT to ever play QB is huge leads or if TS gets hurt.

I was completely floored by TS. Beyond throwing bullet strikes all day, his complete poise and lack of mistakes on the road in front of a huge hostile crowd couldn't be more impressive. His timing and judgment was spot-on throughout the entire game. He had the confidence and GUTS to throw into double coverage and he placed the ball almost perfectly every time. It's been a very long time since I've been this impressed with a Falcon in any sport.

Right on, right on, right on.

We have an amazingly poised and capable young quarterback. We have speed at the skill positions. We have a new playcaller who knows how to keep defenses off balance. We have an effective punt team and a kicker who can cooly nail kicks in a high pressure situation.

I hope the rest of the MAC enjoyed the past couple years, because party time is over.

Yeah, rotation. That's what it was when Turner came in and scored a touchdown. I agree completely with you, Sheehan was AWESOME last night. And when we need to move the ball on the ground in the red zone we can rotate Turner in. If you remember our offense in years past has sputtered in the red zone because it is designed to move down field. Keep Turner in the rotation and this can be a very effective.... rotation :-)

Without a doubt, we have found our QB. Finally Freddie can just be a WR instead coming in for QB sneaks.

Totally agree, DD> AT is too talented to not be used. I was extremely happy for him getting the 7 yard TD run. I stated after the fall kickoff event that AT was very upbeat saying what a great year BG was gonna have. He's in a tough spot losing the starting gig but can be a hell of a relief pitcher. I think teams knowing AT is still involved are gonna have a much tougher time to prepare for our offense.

As far as Tyler Sheehan? Wow...I echo what everyone else is saying. He had the coolness of a 5th year SR. I only remember seeing a couple passes he shouldn't have thrown but other than that, flawless. I also remember a few players at the kickoff event telling me if Tyler is on, watch out! IF SHEEHAN IS NOT THE MAC EAST PLAYER OF THE WEEK, SOMETHING IS WRONG! Tyler was 34-51, 388 yards, 2 TDs and NO ints! Only sacked once.

Beat Sparty!

Along with Tyler's solid play, I think the O-line deserves a crap load of credit for limiting the Gophers to just one sack. I think those front 5 guys showed us just how dominant they're going to be this year in MAC play. I'm excited to see what Tyler and the O-line can do against a bigger team in Sparty, bring it on!

Well, you gotta figure though with as many holding penalties that were called, there were at least half as many that weren't...lol
