Is it weird or not?

Maybe it's the excitement I felt after the game Saturday night, but I stayed up until 2 Chicago time waiting to see highlights of the game on any sort of sports show.
Is it weird that I haven't seen any on Fox, ESPN or CSTV?
I understand it's not near as big of an upset as Appy St. vs. Michigan, but it's still a upset with a fantastic finish in overtime... that alone should warrant some mention.

I was up until 2am California time and no mention. Honestly, I'm not surprised. For whatever reason (and maybe it's just me), the networks never seem give BG its due credit.

i stayed up as well. we got a brief mention during the sportscenter top 10 plays but that was it. i thought they might mention the game and show the 2 pt conversion but oh well, on to MSU next week!

Considering ESPN's "highlights" aren't highlights anymore, but talking heads blah, blah, blah-ing, it doesn't surprise me at all. The Michigan game took up all the time they might have had to show anything interesting that went down in the rest of the world.

I don't even remember seeing too many Ohio State highlights, or much else from the B10, even.

Good point TG. You're right. I haven't really thought about it, but I watch SportsCenter so infrequently now. I feel I have a better shot at seeing more on ESPNNews.

I stayed up as well, but I kept on Big Ten Network. They showed highlights of the game and even had an interview with Brewster after the game. I'm not surprised we weren't on ESPN... 1. The game wasn't played on ESPN. 2. We got our upset on the same day as thee biggest upset in the history of all of college football!

If neither team is a Top 25 team, there is normally no footage.
I guess the answer is to get in the Top 25!!! :-D

Va. Tech, Appy St., Cal/Tenn, BoSox rookie no-hitter
and our game was on BTN.

I wasn't all that surprised, unfortunately.

Now, if we ruin MSU's week next week as well, we damn well better get more than a passing mention on SportsCenter.

Two things worked against us.

First, it was Minnesota. That's pretty far from the national spotlight right there.

Also, the game didn't finish until midnight EDT. SportsCenter was basically written at that point.

During "Top plays" on the late night SC one anchor said around play number 6 (making fun of his lousy producers), "Somehow no Bowling Green Highlights... they won a big game today"

they did show highlights on the morning sportscenter however

CP's pass
turner's run
minny's tying td and Go ahead FG
Minnys ot TD
BG's OT TD and 2PT convo

ah the world of national sports television in our small midwestern habitat

Someone mentioned that they didn't see much in the way of Big Ten highlights...I wouldn't be surprised if some sort of boycott is taking place as the Big Ten Network is taking quite a bit of revenue away from ESPN+ and ESPNU and all the other ESPN/ABC networks. Of course they're going to show App. St./Mich. because of the magnitude of that game, but why show what they don't have to? I wish there would have been more coverage but there were also those big sporting events including the no-no...I hope we get more recognition if we take down MSU this week.

Shoot there was barely any video footage from an untelevised game when we knocked off #16 Purdue in 2003.

Everytime ESPN shows clips from another non-Disney channel they have to pay royalties to that channel. The least amount of clips you show from that channel, the less they have to pay. They pretty much had to buy those clips from the BTN of the Michigan game.
