Three area HS football teams in action this weekend.
#5 Rossford (7-3) @ Otsego (9-1)
#8 Eastwood (9-1) @ Napoleon (9-1)
My picks both SLL Teams win to start the playoffs right.
Otsego 34
Rossford 14
Eastwood 35
Napoleon 21

I"ll be broadcasting that Otsego/Rossford game.
Anybody have some things I should look for or comment on with either of these two teams?

You could mention that Otsego's lone loss came to Eastwood. 56-0!!!!
Talk about a a$$ kicking. Otsego gets a home game, Eastwood plays on the road. Go Figure these computers...

Saturday night the Green Bulldogs host Canton McKinley. I am surprised Green still made the post season and this will be a big game. I'm hoping we'll be back in town after the BG game so I can catch at least the 2nd half.
Dover lost to New Phila, 21-20 in OT, last week and kept the Tornadoes out of the playoffs. Dover ended 7-3.
Good luck to all HS teams in the playoffs!

You mean stuff to talk about when Rossford's up 40 in the fourth quarter? Hmmm...

I don't know much about this year's team, actually, just the scores I've read every Friday night, but if you want to talk about recent alumni, Jonathan Jakubowski, backup LB for BG is a Rossford grad, as is Miami(OH) reserve DB Darren Paige (he was the Rossford QB a couple years ago, the last time they made the playoffs).
As for not so recent alumni... there's... um... ME! *laugh* (Oh, and former Cincinnati Bearcat gunslinger LaZelle Durden, but I guess hoops doesn't count here, huh?)
Good luck with your call of the game, and Go Bulldogs!!!
EDIT: BTW, what station are you doing the game on? I've got family that might be interested in listening "back home".

Otsego has a good team but Rossford will win that game! Eastwood is going all the way, their RB is unstoppable. It doesn't seem anyone can tackle the kid and he has moves like a psycho cat.

I follow all the county teams and being a BGHS grad I saw my share of Otsego. Otsego is the superior team. Otsego will win handily. Otsego with their defense can win the Div 4 title, as long as their offense doesn't stall like it did against EastWood.
Either way we will still have at least 1 Wood County Team in the Regional Semi's

Eastwood is going all the way. I don't see that happening. I'm picking Akron Hoban to take the division 3 championship

The only common opponent is BGHS, which both schools beat, I think it looks like Rossford relies on its defense some, too, it should be interesting. Aside from the NLL not being a very strong football conference, it does allow alot of Rossford's wins to come against d-1 and d-2 schools, though the size of the school means nothing if ya don't have the "horses", I guess... can't wait to see how this one turns out!

Yeah but Ostego also is a division 4 team while Eastwood is in 3. I love the computer point system myself

A couple key things in the Otsego - Rossford game.
Otsego beat Bowling Green @ BG: 28 - 14
Rossford beat Bowling Green @ home: 23 - 13
Otsego beat Lake @ Lake 42 - 13
Rossford beat Lake @ home: 13 - 7
So common opponets: Otsego combined score was 70 - 27
Rossford combined score was 36-20
Otsego has scored a total of 361 points, 36 ppg, and given up 195 points, 19.5 ppg. Rossford scored 184 points, or 18.4 ppg, given up 164, so 16.4 ppg. Otsego score differential is 16.5 ppg. Rossford score differential is 2 ppg. Also Otsego has a + 14 Turnover Ratio. Rossford has a +1 Turnover Ratio.
Stats favor Otsego and so do I.

Thanks for all of your insight and tips. Should be a very interesting match up and I am sure the Otsego fans will make it an exciting environment, this being the first time they have hosted a playoff game.
The game will be on BCSN (buckeye cable sports network) which is on Toledo's Buckeye Cable System. It wil not be shown live.
It will be broadcast first at 8am and then again at 9pm Saturday.
Eastwood is good, but will the road is rocky

No way on Eastwood, mcmets. Not in Region 10...not this year. Too many quality teams.

Hoban must get past Akron Buchtel first....no easy task there!

that is true. That is an all around tough region to get out of with Lake catholic, walsh, and ndcl. stuebenville should be the favorite to win it all, they played one tough schedule.
