The Streak 2.0: It's about revenge

Noah plays an 8-game football season and we're already slated to miss one for a family wedding in October. When I told him that going to a BG game this year would mean missing a second game, he said, "when do we play Temple."
You may think it was humiliating to lose to Temple last year. But if you weren't in the stadium, you really don't understand how painful it was.
The Streak ended against Temple.
The Streak 2.0 starts against Temple.
This will be the longest two weeks on record.

No doubt. The abuse I took at work from OSWho fans lasted 3 weeks...
I was at Buffalo in 2000 when we lost 20-17 and the Bulls ended their 18 game losing streak...I think I can related. I think SF was there as well and he can tell you the things that were said to BG fans on the way out. Lowest point ever for me as a BG fan...until last year in Phila.
I want to see BG rip Temple to shreds.
C ya soon, bro! Good times...

Great to hear that you’re making the trip ’87. My plan for right now is to come to the game seeing how I bought 2 season tix, but I still need to make sure my buddy is going to make the trip w/ me… if not I probably won’t make the drive by myself.
Of course my streak is still on version 1.0. The Falcons are 4-0 in games that I have attended!
03
BG-27
PU-26
UT-23
BG-31
04
Mar-35
BG-56
05
BG-40
BSU-31
To make my streak even more amazing than the upset of #16 Purdue, I bought tix for the game against Wisconsin last year, but was so sick that I couldn’t go and let me just say it takes a lot for me to miss football!
I’m also in need of some good directions. My dad drove me the 2 times I went to the Doyt & I have long since forgotten how to get there. Also I’m not sure which way he went but I do remember we ended up getting lost & it took a lot longer than it should. I don’t entirely trust mapquest either, so if someone could PM me some good directions to “The Doyt” from West Lafayette, IN it would be MUCH APPRECIATED!!!!!!
One last thing… I bought 2 season tix and as long as I can get someone from home to go w/ me to the games I plan on attending at least Temple, Ohio, and UT. That leaves me w/ 2 tix for the WKU & Akron games. If anyone knows someone WHO WOULD OTHERWISE NOT GO TO THE GAME, but would go if given 2 free tickets let me know! Maybe we could meet up at the Temple game & I could give you the tix in good grace that you would pass them along to the right people! I just want to help our attendance & fan base problem as much as I can, that’s the reason for my rather unorthodox generosity. PM me for that as well if you are interested. GO FALCONS & hope I get to meet some of you at the games this year!

I don't know how you get from one side of Indiana to the other, but if you get to I-69, take it north to Ft. Wayne, then around the Ft. Wayne "outerbelt" I-469, to US 24 East. Take that all the way into Ohio, then near Napoleon, get on Rt. 6 East (If I recall, the actual exit is a little ways after you start to see signs for Rt. 6 to Chicago.) Go for awhile on Rt. 6, then you have options. You can turn left at Bowling Green Road, which can be easily missed if you're not looking for it, and follow that into town, when it turns into Wooster St. and runs through town, then campus, then by the stadium. OR, you can take Rt. 6 to I-75, head north one exit and turn left. This is Wooster St. again and if you miss the stadium there, you're blind and shouldn't be driving anyway.

Awesome! Hope you make it!
BTW, what an awesome streak - Purdue, of course, but being at a Toledo win is a real joy! Next - a bowl game?

No offense 87, but if we lose to Temple this year, I am starting a grassroots effort to ban you and Noah from ever attending another BG football game...Ever!

I wouldn't blame you a bit.
Believe it or not, one of Noah's biggest concerns in the fallout of the Temple loss was whether or not it would "be OK" for him to keep going to BG football games. Kids, gotta love 'em.

It was terrible.
Frankly, I thought the Buffalo loss was lower. It came during what was to become Bowling Green's sixth-straight losing season, the only time in school history that has happened, I think.
It makes me appreciate the good times that much more.

I hate Temple. *insert grumble here*, so I agree...let Streak 2.0 begin!!
I also hate Tol*do and dislike Miami (OH) strongly...but they'll have to wait their turn.
Oh yeah, Nice to see that Noah is focused!!
BTW, I've been in the band for 5 years and have heard so much about Noah and the remaining cast of thousands of AZZ celebs, all of whom I cant wait to finally meet this season!!

Yea for the Philly contingent! Please tell Noah that the planets were just too screwed up last year, that even the streak couldn't help us.
Since he has already been on the new field at the Doyt and declared it usable and ok, let the Streak begin once again.
It will great to have you two back in BG where you belong.

Confirm. My best friend and I will be making the 4 1/2 hour trip from West Lafayette to the Doyt. I'm printing off directions right now to make sure I don't make any wrong turns!
This is a HUGE game for the Falcons, I don't care what Temple did last year to us. This year is our year to win the MAC and get to a bowl game. With the emphasis on Division record, you could actually argue that this game is even more important than the UT game or any of our other games against the MAC West. The journey towards a division title begins this Saturday, with a little revenge against Temple! Hope to see all of you out there!
Temple Improved?

FWIW, Temple seems to be an improved team, despite getting blown out by Buffalo 2 weeks ago. They gave UCONN a pretty tough game yesterday, based upon the score...
And, W.Ky. looks to be pretty decent too. Forget the 87-0 game of a week ago, against ????. They won again yesterday, If I recall seeing their score correctly.
