Well, I finally solved my problem of displaying the new logo in my yard to show my support of the Falcons. I searched the internet to try and find a suitable banner or flag to display, after weeks I said "Screw it, I am making my own".

Well it is finally finished. It looks great and the neighbor like it too.

Watch for pictures of my new Falcon cornhole set, I will be posting them soon.

Looks awesome! I just finished painting the peek-a-boo on one of my basement walls a couple weeks ago to go with the "LT" on the opposite wall.

You want me to give away all my secrets?

Well, I started with this graphic on the computer.
Image

Then I used a shareware program called Mr. Poster to create a 4' by 4' poster of the graphic. I should have went with 6' x 6'. The program prints it out on 8.5" x 11" sheets of paper. Then just cut and tape them together to form the whole image.

Taped it up on my garage door and used a couple of big sheets of tracing/transfer paper. Ran a pen over the image to transfer it to the garage door. Then went over it with a sharpie to ensure the outline would stay as I painted and if it rained or anything else.

I got a bunch of those little foam brushes generally used for staining. I got the 1" size. Then just painted away. Took 3 coats to cover that green on my garage. I did the first coat and then my graphic artist wife, Lynn, did the other 2 coats. That was good because she is better at staying between the lines.

I spent maybe 5-6 hours doing the tracing and first coat and I think she had maybe 2-3 hours in for the remainder. She is a lot faster at the painting then I am.

She also designed my cornhole set. I was thinking of just unveiling that at the Temple game, but I guess I could post some pictures.

If any of you have seen Corey's set then you know the kind of designs Lynn is capable of. I will look for a picture of those and post them also.

If you can create a PDF of the file, then you can email it to a local repro shop and they can print it on one sheet of paper. Saves all that tape.

That's how we did Nicholas's wall

And this, my friend, is exactly where the plan falls apart for the rest of us.

Nice job. I love it.

How much did they charge for that? It only cost me about 30 sheets of white printer paper and a little ink from my home printer and that was black ink.

The Mr. Poster program prints guide lines for the cutting and sequence numbers for taping together. Took about 20 minutes to cut and tape together.

I had thought about getting a printing company to do something like that, but I always worry about copyright stuff... I guess I would still have that problem with something I paint myself.
