Doyt and Sebo

Tonight after dinner I drove to the field and it was open. I live in Cleveland so I'm not sure if this is common.
I had a nearly spiritual moment as I phoned my family from mid-field at dusk. I didn't have my good camera but this is what I was able to get with the camera on my Treo.
I say bring on Temple and everybody else...Amen.

This is a fantastic picture! You forgot a tag (which happens), so to help you out:
I'm from Cleveland, too, and I just visited the "new" stadium for the first time since April on Friday on my way up to E. Lansing. It is truly a spiritual experience to stand there and look around that beautiful stadium! In fact, I was in such awe of it that it didn't even occur to me to take a picture. Standing on the third-floor balcony of the Sebo is truly awe inspiring.
Opening day is going to something very special.

On the way home from my mom's last night I noticed that the B G S U letters were not lit up on the stadium.
Could we possibly be finally taking those tacky things down? Or at least not turning them on at night?
Also, anyone know when the elevator banners will be installed?

I guess we have differing opinions there. When I saw they were not lit up, I was extremely disappointed. One of my clearest memories is seeing those letters on the side of the stadium as we drove up to Michigan and thinking "maybe someday I'll get to go there."

Agreed. I always liked seeing the "BGSU" rolling up or down 75. Those letters are burned in my brain, as I remember leaving town after I graduated. I was looking in my rearview mirror, and those stadium letters popped into my view. It almost made me shed a tear knowing that my time at BG was over.

I feel that way every time we have to go home from BG.

I keep an eye on the rear view mirror until those orange letters are out of sight. *sniff sniff*

Same here. Though fortunately, the airplane warning lights on top of the light poles help keep ol' BG in sight a little while longer.

Just to add a little more cheese with my whine. Green Day's "Time of your Life" was playing on the radio as I got one more view of the letters on The Doyt. It really could've been the final scene to the end of a movie. I'll never forget that moment.

My sister attended Oakland University in Michigan on a full-ride. All those trips to MI meant one thing: passing BGSU on my way. Had I not seen the BGSU sign on the side of the Doyt, I would have never have thought to apply here.
Even if you need to update the branding to match the font, keep the "BGSU" on the stadium. Had it not been there, I'd be going to OSU.

I was at BG when those letter went up on the stadium. It was a popular picture for people to take at the time. I guess the SEBO makes it look outdated but I still think it is the best billboard for BGSU on 75. As long as it doesn't cause accidents from gawkers make it bigger with the new font so it draws even more attention IMO.

They should replace the existing letters with four giant ones running the length of the stadium. Now that would be totally AWESOME.

Gee, hutch, the only thing more outdated than those letters is your avatar
