I know it is early, but what is the projected weather and attendance estimate for next Saturday?

Low 58, high near 80, sunny. Good weather, revenge factor, home opener, sure win, I say 18,500.

I agree with h2o's points, but I think attendance will be closer to 20,500 (with 80 degree temps). The opening of the Sebo, new turf, and good start should bring in some of the more fair-weather Falcon fans. Hopefully a couple solid wins and a good October can keep those fans interested since we will have a month away from home after the next 2 weekends.

Good lord, we better draw 20K! New stadium and turf? If the Falcon Faithful can's show up for that and a team that is 1-1 against the Big 10, then I am truly dissapointed in the current student body...

As has been discussed for the past several years, student attendance is not the problem. I am not concerned at all about the students coming out to support the Falcons. I would guess that we will draw 5-6 thousand students next weekend. The problem is the general attitude of our alumni and fan base of "love 'em if we're winning, don't care if we're losing". Since we appear to have a solid team, I expect the people of Bowling Green and northwest Ohio to come out in force.

H20 - I agreed with your points before 7:00 this morning. My brain was not fully functional at that time.

Last year I said there was no way we could lose to Temple. I was wrong. But guess what...

I'll say it again this year! There's no way in **** we're losing to Temple! They just got smacked 42-7 by Buffalo. BUFFALO!!! They're the worst team in Division I-A not named Florida International or Duke. Our guys have been playing very well since the start of the season and have had this date circled for 11 months now. It's gonna be a slaughter. My official score prediction is going to be something like 49-10. Honestly, the 2005 game is still fresh in my mind, that's how this one is going to end up, though probably not THAT severe.

As for the attendance, if its 80 and sunny, I'm thinking a near sellout, maybe 23,000. If the weather is bad, then that drops to about 18,000.

I'd be very disappointed, and surprised, if attendance isn't at least 20,000 (assuming that the weather is OK). I'll guess 23,500.

Current forecast has mostly sunny and 81. Nice.

Hey, why not hope BiG and say sell out? It takes 23,724 butts to sell it out. Another good thing? OSU/NW is a 3:30 start. There is no reason why the Falcon/Buckeye fans can't make the BG game in its entirety.

I can't wait til Saturday...CRUSH TEMPLE.

We got our seat assignments late last week and they were pretty good seats. Good for us, but not good in terms of advance ticket sales.

I hope there's a huge walk-up crowd, but I've got a feeling that a lot of us are going to be disappointed in the final attendance figure.

i think a lot of you are overshooting as far as attendance goes. you forget that if we get 20,000 the place practically looks full. I'm guessing around 17,000-18,000. This will not be because of the student body, it will be because we are playing temple, and outsiders don't wanna watch Temple play.
