Michigan State and Pitt is turning out to be a good game as Pitt just picked up a 4th and 1...it is disappointing to see CMU and Miami go down the way they are...Miami could still make a game of it though, down 2 scores (w/2 point conversions) just into the 2nd half...there defense has got to step up...

How great would it be if there could still be ties in CFB and ND/UM ended in a 0-0 tie? I care about that game about as much as I care about soccer so it would work well.

Gotta be rooting for the Buckeyes against Washington today but I know Willingham is going to have that team ready to play against the #10 team in the land.

How about USC/Nebraska tonight? My heart wants Big Red to win, but I have a feeling that Pete Carroll won't let that heppen.

Any thoughts on my thoughts?

We were just chatting about the Citadel/Wis. and VaTech/OU games.

There will certainly be people chatting that is for sure.

Eastern Michigan is trying to hold on for an upset over Northern Illinois, they lead 21-19 with 1:30 left.

Temple is down 22-17 to Conneticuit, but is driving for a possible upset victory. They just cracked into the red zone with 1:20 to go.

Temple got to the UConn 11 yd line, but got stopped on 4th down. UConn to win 22-17.

Doesn't look like a good day for the MAC. CMU got crushed, WMU is down big to Missouri, Akron lost to Indiana, Miami got blasted by Cincy, etc.

Minnesota down big at the half. If that score continues, it makes BG's win there a lot less impressive.

FAU's QB has thrown for over 300 yards and 4 TDs......in the first half!!!!

It's official, NIU may not win a game this season. Losing to EMU at home?! Unbelievable how far that program has fallen.

Minnesota is just flat-out bad this year. If we would've kept the pedal down, we could have beaten them by 30+.

MSU really struggled at home with a Pitt squad that's been decimated by injuries as well. Pitt's backup QB basically handed MSU the game with first-half interceptions.

MSU's DL is the real deal though. Those guys are fast.

Penalties and special teams really hurt Michigan State in the 2nd half. They should have won today by much more than 4, but had a kick blocked and had another red zone drive stuffed thanks to a personal foul after a rush. Pittsburgh didn't get much done on offense for much of the day, although their RB McCoy is a stud. He was their team.

Another team that sucked up the joint today was Miami. 47-10 home loss to Cincinnati?! Wow. There's another program that has just fallen completely off the map. I no longer feel any anxiety about our trip to Oxford on the 13th. Their offense is awful. Somebody on miami hawk talk today said that this was Miami's 7th straight loss at home!

Balls Tate blocked a late Navy FG to force OT, then won with a TD on their possession of the OT, 34-31.

UT down 17-0 in the 2nd at Kansas, it looks like Mark Mangino has his Jayhawks hungrier to get the win.

Well, it appears the rest of the MAC just can't beat BCS teams. They've actually done quite well against the lower conferences of D-IA. Good win by Ball State.

Apparently, BSU kicked a FG on their possession after recovering a fumble in Navy's OT possession. ESPN GameTrack or whatever it's called is a lying whore.

24-17 Kansas

I generally root for all MAC teams during out of conference games, but I'm at odds with Toledo. I don't know if rooting for them under any circumstances is right.

Ah, I guess I won't care either way if Toledo beats Kansas. I don't think it'll matter though, KU will probably lay it on the Rockets at some point.
