BG vs Temple Tv Broadcast....

Post by Falconboy »

Oddly , the bgsufalcons.com website says tv is BTN. Now why is is this? The're no big ten teams here , so was that a typo or what? I heard on this board that ch. 13 ABC in Toledo would be carrying it but so far they don't list the game on their web tv listings yet.

You haven't heard the news? The Big 10 invited us to join the conference this morning. Looks like we're going to the Rose Bowl next year!!

So that means we finally get to play Michigan, right? I'm sure it will be a home game too. I can't wait to see us in the Rose Bowl this year... ;-)

Noticed the BTN reference in the game notes, which was odd to say the least. BG/Temple was initially going to be the MAC game of the week, but I think Kent/Akron has replaced it. Pretty sure the game will be on ESPN GamePlan.

Where The Falcons Rank In The Big Ten
Where would the Falcon offense rank in the Big Ten? After competing with two members from the Big Ten Conference (Minnesota and Michigan State) you may be surprised at where the Falcon offense would rank. The Falcon offense (427 yards/game) ranks fifth in the Big Ten, ahead of teams such as Penn State, Michigan and Ohio State, while the Falcon passing attack would rank first, tops in that conference. In fact, they would be more than 50 yards ahead of the current Big Ten leader Purdue (299.5)

It makes one proud to be a Falcon and wear the Orange and Brown when you see the stats stacked up against the "big boys" of the Big 10. Even if they aren't as powerful as they once have been.

These are the stations on the MAC's regional television network:

Chicago (WPWR – MyTV)
Philadelphia (WPHL – MyTV)
Detroit (WXYZ – ABC)
Cleveland (WEWS – ABC)
St. Louis (Charter Cable)
Indianapolis (WNDY – MyTV)
Columbus (WWHO – CW)
Cincinnati (WKRC – CBS)
Milwaukee (WDJT – CBS)
Grand Rapids (WXSP – MyTV)
Buffalo (WNGS – Independent)
Little Rock, Ark. (KWBF-MyTV)
Dayton, Ohio (WKEF-ABC)
Charleston, W.Va. (WSAZ-DT2-MyTV)
Flint, Mich. (WNEM-DT-CBS)
Green Bay, Wisc. (WACY-MyTV)
Toledo, Ohio (WTVG-ABC)
Springfield, Mo. (KWBM-MyTV)
South Bend, Ind. (WBND-ABC; WMWB-WB)
Cedar Rapids, Iowa (KWWF-Independent)
Davenport, Iowa (WBQD-MyTV)
Evansville, Ind. (WAZE-CW)
Fort Smith, Ark. (KFDF-Independent)
Youngstown, Ohio (WYTV-ABC)
Fort Wayne, Ind. (WPTA-DT2)
Tyler, Texas (KYTX-DT)
Lansing, Mich. (WHTV-MyTV)
Traverse City, Mich. (WFQX-Fox)
Peoria, Ill. (WAOE-MyTV)
Rockford, Ill. (WTVO-DT-ABC)
Marquette, Wisc. (WMQF-MyTV)
Wheeling, W.Va. (WTRF-CBS)
Roanoke, Va. (WDRL-Independent)

Some markets are going to take the Kent State-Akron game. Others will take our game. Some may not take either game.

If our game is on in Toledo -- and I can't imagine it wouldn't be -- keep an eye on channel 13.

For the fellow AZZ members in Western PA, Channel 7 out of Wheeling and the channel out of Youngstown comes in pretty good in the Pittsburgh area.

Well, I guess this calls for another trip to Bdubs, and a seat in the AZZ chat room. I'm telling ya, I'll take any excuse to get those Parmesean Garlic boneless wings. How did I NOT know about those when I was in college?
