I do believe that Western Kentucky will not be an easy win this weekend.
If we are caught sleeping, it could be a major loss for this promising season.

Yes, they are for real. They played Florida closer than most people expected, slaughtered some sucky team and beat an improving MTSU team. Relatively speaking I'm impressed with WKU. We need this win OOC, because its unlikely that we will beat BC on the road. BC might be the toughest team in the ACC right now!

Two actually. They crushed West Virginia Tech, an NAIA school, and then beat Eastern Kentucky very soundly.
The win over Middle Tennessee says a lot. The Falcons need to be up for this game.

I'm looking forward to a great game. We have a ways to go still as a I-A. MTSU is actually down this year, so that wasn't as a great a win as it might look. They have a lot of injuries and defections.
I would be up in BG for the game, but my other love, the Cubs, are in Cincinnati hopefully clinching a Division championship and I plan to be there!

THERE IS NO SLEEPING FOR ANY GAME THIS YEAR!!! GRANTED IT IS WE NEED TO ESTABLISH OUR DOMINANCE EARLY IN THE SEASON AND GO FOR THE JUGULAR AND NOT STOP. WE CAN'T LET OTHER TEAMS SEE US GO SOFT THE LAST 10 MIN OF EACH GAME EVEN WHEN WE ARE UP BY 20+ POINTS. IF WE ARE NOT GOING TO RUN IT UP...DON'T GIVE THEM UP!
NICE JOB IOWA STATE-CORNBALLERS

WKU will be ready to play...bank on that. This is a good test for them...and us. We need to be ready from the opening kickoff down to the final seconds. Keep the momentum going...
Former BG coach Dennis Springer will be back in town as the new DC for WKU. I'm sure he'll be up for it.
There are no easy wins...none, anymore. Unless you are LSU, USC, Oklahoma or Florida, there are no easy wins for anyone.
GO FALCONS!

Not even for LSU and Florida Freak.

Both of them have to come here to Lexington and play the only other unbeaten team in the SEC, UK (now the ranked 14). I think Florida will be beaten by UK. LSU maybe not, but I can see this team wanting to make up for that 2002 game where UK gave up a game winning hail Mary TD, after celebrating the win by gatorade bathing the coach.
After watching MTSU put up some many points on UL I was pretty impressed with WKU's win over them last week. However I'm not so sure anymore that Notre Dame couldn't score on UL.
Can't wait to get up to BG for this game.

You're right, PGY. Even mighty LSU and Florida struggled to win this past weekend. That's the only problem with hanging all day at the Doyt...I miss a lot of action on the tube.

If anyone out there doesn't think the SEC is the best conference in college football, they must be on Meth. That league is a bear, top to bottom!
UK does look pretty damn good these days...their offense can light it up.

Word down here (Kentucky) is that Western will start K.J. Black at QB this week after previously starting David Wolke, a transfer from Notre Dame. Coach Springer from a few years ago is at Western and saw similarities between K.J. and Omar.
It'll be interesting to see how good he is. I just doubt they have very much around him yet, but it should be a lot of fun, being back in town this weekend.

You're over in Louivesille right Option? Do the papers cover WKU much. Lexington paper doesn't seem to have much on WKU other than a Sunday recap

Could someone run the brief list of D1A schools that do not have a transfer QB from Notre Dame?

We do get some info over here with the Courier-Journal, but I also have a work connection as well.

They lost by 46 to Florida. I am sure Florida called off the dogs.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't think we'll have the amount of trouble with them as some seem to think on here. They do have talent, but it's not well distributed. I think it's safe to say that if we can force some 3 and outs, get 2-3 quick scores then we can cruise to a W. I really don't see us being set up for a let down considering it's Homecoming and we all know how last year's went...a 38-3 drubbing from the Flashes.

Homecoming wasn't against Kent, that was Family Weekend, played EMU for HC last year
