Man, I love some of the quotes he made...Ryan with another great read.

"Essentially, I have the best position because I get to go out and pound on linebackers. I might get one or two carries a game and I might get a pass thrown to me," Winovich said. "How many other people can do that on the field?"

Pound on linebackers....that is sweet.

Winning the Mid-American Conference championship is something Winovich believes would overshadow any personal accolades he may have achieved had he played a more traditional career. He came to that conclusion two years ago while watching BGSU's 1985 MAC championship team being honored before a home game.

"From that moment on I always said I don't care what I have to do, whatever it is, I want a MAC championship," Winovich said. "That's how we want to be remembered within our senior group."

Damn...if every person in that locker room has that attitude, this team will win the MAC title.

Winny,
You rock, bro. Keep doing what you're doing and we'll see you holding that MAC trophy in Dec. Thanks for being a FALCON.

GO FALCONS!!!!

One of my favorite Falcons! I love his attitude.

When we were on the field after the game, I asked Noah if he wanted to try to get a picture with one of the players. He immediately started scanning the field and said "where's Pete Winovich." Pete, as always, was most gracious, breaking away from his family to spend a few moments talking with Noah and posing for a picture.

It would be awesome to see him leave BG with a MAC Championship ring!

I agree. Best quotes I have heard from a Falcon football player in awhile. Good to see he has his head in the right place and lets hope others follow his leadership!

Guy has really been through the changes and stuck it all out. Gets a lot of press for that I guess but not many other bennies. Gotta admire his perserverance-it would have been easy to transfer or give up-sounds like the kind of guy who will be a success in areas off the field as well.
