NIU's new prize didn't stick around long.

They were just talking about this on College Gameday...sure is a shame that the MAC lost out on something so great before it was even delivered. Oh well, more power to the kid if he can find somewhere he wants to be.

Must be nice to be able to go wherever you want/where you know you'll likely play. I wish the same could be said for the other 99.9% of college athletes.

I am not so sure he will be something great. I have a bad gut feeling about him. Hopefully he keeps better company than he did at ND. I wonder if Brian Kelly told him that NIU is not a BSC school like UC is. I wish him the best. I hope UC falters under Brian Kelly.

Ugly situation. How fitting it ends at UC.
tiznow - good call on Kelly. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he used his new BCS Superpowers for his evil biding.
I'm not convinced Jones will be "all that" once it's all said and done.

+1. I think Kelly needs to schedule a game with BG.

His attitude change is disgusting. And I don't think Jones is all that anyway. Time will tell.

im actually not too excited about this
Chazz Anderson who is a few years younger than me from my high school is a freshman there and is one of the quarterbacks. He was really good in HS but i dunno if this means he wont get the starting job in a few years because Jones is a little more high touted

Question of the day: Name the best college athlete ever that was enrolled in 3 colleges in one year?
I really don't like the chances of a kid who is so quick to change his mind. I can't imagine this will turn out well at this point. Good luck to him regardless but I wouldn't advise any college athlete to take this path.

I heard his mom fed him chicken soup the other day.

Wasn't Randy Moss enrolled in 3 schools in a year? (Notre Dame, Florida State and Marshall) Or am I remembering that incorrectly?

I think you might be correct. Great football player, not a category to be mentioned with - Moss or Marshall.

I don't think Randy ever enrolled in ND.
My memory goes like this:
Moss committed to ND, then got in a fight or something in HS, so they revoked his offer.
He then went to FSU where he was eventually kicked off the team because of Marijuana or something like that.
He ended up at Marshall.
I could be wrong, but this is my recollection of his events.

The bearcats are all the talk down here. 4-0 though the competition to date has been weak. Some are actually talking BCS Bowl. They are being set up for a fall and I will enjoy that! All of a sudden, the radio talk show heads are ripping the MAC and Conference USA, noting that UC is way above those levels of football. Makes me want to puke! I can't wait 'til they get leveled by the lower Big Least teams.
