Ask-A-Falcon: Kory Lichtensteiger

Post by Dayons_Den »

Ask a Student-Athletete...
1. Name: Kory Lichtensteiger
2. Sport: Football
3. Year: 5/Sr
4. What is your major and why did you choose it: Criminal Justice, because of the careers it would lead to down the road. It sounded interesting.
5. What is your favorite building on campus and why: Sebo Center
6. What is your favorite moment involving your sport: Winning the GMAC Bowl.
7. What is your favorite BGSU non-athletic moment: Spending time with friends.
8. What are your plans once you leave BGSU: not sure yet.
9. What have you learned as a BGSU student-athlete that will stick with you throughout life: Dedication and work ethic.
What would you like to say to all the Falcon fans out there? In a state where everyone is obsessed with one team (Ohio State), it is nice to have dedicated fans who appreciate all the hard work we put in. Thanks for supporting the Falcons!
Got the new Falcon Land Update from the Falcon Club this afternoon. I particularly like Kory's answer to the last question :D

AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kory is da man. I so hope he and a few of the SR's are lifting that MAC Trophy in Dec at Ford Field. Kory as always been so cool with the Freaklings and other kids and I can't say enough about him. He is a mature, hard working, knock your head off player but off the field is a great father, husband and family man. He's the real deal and a great role model.

Damn, what a mighty fine answer to that last question. Don't tell me our players don't get sick of OSWho crap. I can't say it enough...I will NEVER support another Ohio school...BG only. Period.

God bless you Kory!

He's not sure what he's going to be doing after BGSU? I think we all have a pretty good idea of what that might be. So modest is he. :-D

I've never met Kory, but from everything that I have heard about him he is an outstanding student and person. Ya just gotta love linemen.

Kory and OL vs BC.....

Post by Falconboy »

Kory will have a chance to impress some possible NFL scouts when we take on BC Sat as he will be taking on a tough 325lb NG in Ron Brace for BC. His backup is 6'3 305 , and the other 2 at DT go 282 and 330lbs respectively. BC's Ends go 291 and 282 , and 2 others on the light end , 235 and 247.

Needless to say our entire O-line will have an immense test Sat. to keep the BC D off Tyler. Tyler will need space and time to find receivers down field for us to be in this game. I'm thinking Tyler may have to throw for 450+ for us to have a chance. The O-line must be staunch this weekend.

The only NFL scouts who don't have Kory rated highly have been living under a rock. Kiper already has him listed near the top of the board for centers.

As to Freak's comments - right on. Kory is always gracious with his time after the games we've been too, signing stuff for kids and chatting with them and the other fans milling about. A great Falcon.
