Normally, when I spot a headline I want to share here, I try to introduce it with a quote or two and some commentary.

But, on this, I can't think of anything to say -- in part, becuase I know Freak's kids might be reading.

So here you go. Have at it:

Ray Stein is the sports editor of the Dispatch. He can be contacted at the following link:

Think before you write. He does publish quite a few every Sunday. And, if a letter is stupid, he whacks back.

Better yet, write the advertisers of the sports section. I won't waste my time on this arrogant half-wit.

It's the Columbus Dispatch. It's entire reason for having a sports section is to stroke the egos of Buckeye fans. I'm quite certain that a large part of their target audience did a "Hell yeah!" and high fives after reading this article.

Better yet, let the butt-crack of our State have their lousy newspaper.

It is useless to talk sense with these people. Bottom line, the guy has a pubished newspaper collumn to write whatever he wants, and take whatever you send him out of context.....if he even bothers to read what you send him, which I doubt he will.

Thing is, the guy might not even be that boneheaded. The people who own businesses down there know that their cash-crop is blowing smoke up the skirts of a group of people who can't stand to hear anything but how great they are.

This is no different than having a wedding reception down there, and trying to get your DJ not to play certain tunes that are not indicative of your own alma mater. They will argue with you; and no matter what happens, they will play them anyway. My buddy got married a year and a half ago, and said that was exactly how it was. He said you can't get mad at the DJ, because his boss told him to do it.

That is just how they are, and that is exactly why I stopped claiming OSU as my 2nd favorite team.

This is all very true, reasoned, and rational. It does not, however, change the fact that this guy can kiss my fat, white AZZ for insulting every student-athlete at every university that he estimates to be "non-Mongrel."

What an ignorant, pig-headed slut this guy is. And, given the opportunity, I would say that to this guys face. With gusto.

Really? Fortunately, we didn't run into the problem at our wedding, but we had a written "Do not play" list. If one of them had been played, much less with attitude, I'd have been looking for a refund on the spot.

The part about the Dispatch and blowing up skirts hits the nail on the head. I prefer to vomit at the headline and move on, waiting for the day Jack Carle writes an article with the headline "Jim Tressel eats worms".

I totally agree with your sentiment. Unfortunately, he is a grain of sand in the beach that is the arrogance of OSU fans. As far as I'm concerned, they all can kiss my fat (well, not so fat), orange and brown (okay, it is actually white....a little too white) Ay Ziggy Zoomba....and I also occasionally tell them something along that lines.

My wedding reception is going to be here in BG, and even here I made sure that we have a written "Do Not Play" list that comes with a money back guarantee. I just needed to make sure the job was done right.

Money is the reason the big dogs stay on top. Make the Buckeyes, Florida or any other team deal with a mid-major budget and none of them would be on top for long. Of course, the major conferences know this and do all they can to keep the mongrels down. In essence, there needs to be a salary cap for college athletics as well as pro sports. Until then, there can be no parity.

Our idiot DJ, played the chicken dance, when he was instructed not to. I had to bitch out my sister for that one. He did play the Steelers Polka in Indianapolis, which was a pleasant suprise. TG, by reading these posts I guess you are a newlywed. Congrats!!

Yep. 12 days now. Thanks! :-D

Our DJ got pretty difficult to deal with at times leading up to the ceremony, but he did a really good job when it counted. (I thought, but I don't remember parts of the latter portions of the reception...)

Thing is though, two of the three schools he called "mongrels" (USF and UK) are in BCS conferences, so they have the resources to rise.

After reading this I could sure go for UK or USF kicking the s**t out of osu
