I love the prediction and definitely think it is possible, but does anyone think BC is equal to Minnesota?
I am having trouble with seeing this game play out like that. I bet we score on our first possession.
We match up very well with BC, but I think they will likely win at home.

That's kind of where I'm at. This isn't a 2004 Oklahoma situation, where we had basically no shot in Hell to win, but it definitely isn't a Minnesota situation either.
I like the matchup, and if we had to go play a top-10 team right now, I'd probably choose BC as the best chance. Having said that, I think I'm probably giving us about a 20% chance of pulling the upset. I would also be mildly surprised if BC covered. That spread seems too big to me.

In the article he says that BG is playing terrific football. I don't think we're playing terrific football yet. We're improving with each game, we have a tremendous amount of talent. There is a lot of improvements that still need to be made, and going from game to game, we're making those improvements. How many teams out there in DI have the confidence to go for 2 in OT against a bigger school and win? There's a difference in "playing to win" and "playing not to lose". Right now, BG is playing to win. We're still a young football team, we'll get better with each game. This is BC's best start in 50 years? Nothing bad against BC, but I don't think their players have the mindset and capability to keep it going. I expect BG to win! I look for a lot of passing on both ends, and BG taking advantage on turnovers and special teams.

I'm worried that we will be kept extremely one demensional and they will be able to stop our passing attack because our running game will be non-existant.
I think they will get burnt quite a bit the first quarter or two, but will catch on and have no trouble stopping us.
I hope I'm wrong.

We have a running game?
We don't need much of a running game if we can keep the short passing game going and avoid stupid penalties and mistakes.

I don't remember this being mentioned in previous posts, but I saw somewhere that BC has never lost to the MAC and they really put it to Toledo in the Motor City Bowl a few years back.

We need to be near-perfect and BC needs to be noticeably less-than-perfect. But that's how it always shapes up when we play a really good BCS conference school.
Go Falcons!

My thoughts exactly. I'm afraid once they do figure how to stop our pass attack our D will be constantly on the field which will get very tired with only 3 experienced DT/NG's.
A strategy just came to mind that might be the only thing that might keep BC honest. I dont' think we'll be able actually run the ball against them , but I don't think we can just run the empty backfield 5 wide either. I think we must keep Geter in the backfield and run multiple formations and split Geter out a few times to keep a backup option to throw too when our receivers get blanketed.
This BC D-line our OL will be goin' up against is huge , dont' know if there as athletic or as fast as MSU's but our OL will be undersized against them. Sheehan can't get be getting his head knocked around for us to be able to utilize our passing game.

GO FALCONS!!! Love the pick! Why not? We've got nothing to lose and everything to gain...I knew this team had a different attitude at the fall kickoff event. They seemed so loose, yet confident.

Agreed 4% does seem a little low.
And you want to be my latex salesman! Sorry, that never gets old.

I agree with that,Freak. Also - this group of wideouts is starting to feel like some of the groups we used to have. Sharon, Sanders, Magner....Partridge, Barnes, Parks...
It
feels like BG football again.

As great as this year has been, if we're able to replace all the losses we'll have from our o-line this year....what could next year bring? I can't even imagine what another year of seasoning could do for guys like Brighton, Parks, Pronty, etc.
With that said, Roll Along! Beat the Golden Eagles!
