Very Costly Interceptions

Post by BGSU33 »

Obviously, it’s hard to win any game when you turn the ball over six times no matter who you are playing, let alone a Top-10 team on the road. But what absolutely killed us was four of our six interceptions either went for a TD the other way or ended as a turnover in the endzone. BC picked off two passes and returned them for TD’s while we had two passes picked off on our way to going in for a possible score. Those four plays “could” have resulted in a 28-point turnaround. Add to that another one of those picks led to a BC field goal.

Honestly, I didn’t expect to win this game but I did think we’d put up a good fight. No way did I expect to see us get rolled like that. The loss doesn’t bother me nearly as much as the way it happened, especially with the passing game looking so shaking with all the picks. The long kickoff returns allowing BC to start drives from our 25 and 36 certainly didn’t help either. I just hope this team can completely shake off this game completely and get back to playing the way we were the past couple weeks prior to this game.
GO BG!!!
