And let's send our seniors out the right way -- with a win in front of a sellout crowd. These guys either suffered through a 2-9 season as redshirts (Burkes, Grubb, Hart, Mruczkowski, etc) or chose to come to Bowling Green after a 2-9 season in 2000 (Carswell, Hawkins, Magner, Newson, etc.) and we should thank them for their hard work in getting us back to the top of the MAC and into national prominence.

By the way -- let's show up at Noon on November 13, not the 12th!!!

How are ticket sales going?? I wish I could attend, but this bad foot makes driving long distances almost impossible.

We need 28,988 -- and not a soul more.

(I've got 11 flex plan coupons I want to redeem Saturday. I'm hoping I can pull that off Saturday morning.)

Don't forget, if you can't use them all, make sure you go back and forth through the gate 11 times!!!

In fact, anyone that has extra tickets, make sure they all get ripped at the gate!

And tell the ticket guy to add another 230 in attendance for the band!!! Does anyone know if they ever actually count us for attendance?

No padding..

Post by BelieveNBG »

Let's not talk about padding the numbers, but instead, let's just fill the stands. We have a high quality football team that is playing another quality football team/program. No excuses about not coming out because of our opponent. For years the MAC has been all about Marshall.

**Let's send Marshall packing in a way that we want them to remember the MAC and BG.

**With Bowl decisions still yet to be made, let's show the world that our fans will show up for a contest between 2 quality opponents when it matters.

**LAST BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY...let's show those Seniors how much we appreciate their efforts and all that they have done to help turn this program into a top 25 contender year after year after year.

GO BG!!! :supz:

Has nothing to do with padding. It has to do with people having purchased tickets that won't get counted if they aren't torn. Or students (the band) that are attending the game, and might not be getting counted. Its a matter of getting as much counted right as possible. I have very little doubt that this game will finally be one to top 23 or 24K, between the success of our program, the way Marshall supposedly travels fans in groups, and even UT fans coming down the road without the Rockets playing that day... attendance should be huge!

Don't they use the turnstiles to count attendance?

Sorry for misunderstanding...

More important than the exact number, I just hope the stands are filled to the rim. We need a sell out. We need to make sure we out number the Herd fans enough to make them mute. We need the same atmosphere we had against NIU last year. We were so intimidating and there's nothing like a 12th man (fans) to make it harder for the opposing team.

As I understand it (just talked to a Doyt ticket-taker who happens to be a co-worker of mine) they ONLY use turnstyle numbers for attendance at the Doyt.

So they don't count us then because we don't have to march through those. Maybe this weekend I will make an attempt to drop out of the foward by fives and step through a turnstile!
