Put up or Shut up... week

So after jumping to defend this team after the debacle at Boston College.. I was hoping for the team to be fired up and pumped to go into Oxford and continue marching toward the MAC East title.
But there I sat... watching.. scratching my head.. yelling.. and then just frowning in silence.
I was embarrassed and our coaches and team should be as well.
But they know that. It does them no good for us to point out every little fault of last week, when all that really matters is the Kent game. Yes, we're in a hole and we probably need to win out to have a shot at the East title, but it is still possible.
And remember, we're a young team over all and games like this hopefully leaving a stinging burn in the stomach and when it comes time again to dig deep, real athletes recall what happened when the times were dire and how they responded.
We'll learn alot this week about our team, our coaches and even ourselves as fans.
I still say this is a good team that's learning to win.. and that also means taking lumps along the way.
If anyone on the team reads this - know we're still with you.
If the coaches see it - get your act together, get these kids pumped up, and for god's sake don't throw every single down. We have running backs for a reason - USE THEM!
And to the fans, don't bail on this team. That's not what fans do. They stick through the rough times. They go to home games even if we're on a losing streak or if the weather's isn't perfect. They make road trips to Kent to show the team we're still behind them.. and that we all must Roll Along!

Good stuff, Windy. It's been a difficult two days for me so I can't begin to imagine what's been going thru the players' minds. We ARE young...we need to learn to win CONSISTENTLY and not think wins aren't earned every single week at this level of college football.

I'm always behind these kids. I know some of the parents and feel badly for them as well for the last couple weeks. It ain't fun being in the stands when things aren't working or going well but ya still gotta be there.

Until this team is mathematically elminated from the East race, I believe there's a chance to win the division. We all say it's gut check time for the players but for the coaches as well. I've always supported Coach B and continue to do so...but dammit, the team that showed up at MN and Michigan State and for Temple and WKU....THAT team needs to show up the rest of the season. I can't believe how po'ed I still am today. I know it's just a game but man, that effort the other day was simply unacceptable. I don't think it's too much to expect excellence at BGSU. We all want to win.

I will be at Kent Saturday and every other regular season game. I would never bail on the kids...they've worked too damn hard to be forgotten when things get tough. Sure it isn't easy to watch what happened Saturday but somehow, someway these Captains need to pull this team together and play their asses off to attain wins.

It's all up to the people in the locker room form the head man down to the scout team. What kind of season is this gonna be? You have 6 regular season games left...it's up to you.

GO FALCONS!!! BEAT KENT!

Good posts guys! If we can come out and beat Kent Sat. we are right back in the thick of things. Our confidence will be back up and we'll have two home games back to back to look forward to.

If we crap the bed again Sat. then that's it for Brandon. He is done here at BGSU and I hope Christopher realizes that. I thought we really had something here this year but now I'm not so sure. If we lose Sat. which means we're heading down the the losing trend path of the last 3-4 years, then that is it...Time for a new HC!!

This game is a bench mark in my mind and will say alot about the future of this program....

I will always back this team and future BG teams but man does this HC make it tough!!!

No doubt about it, this week is a must-win.

Miami controls its own destiny and Buffalo is just behind them. We're in the first tier of also rans with Akron. A loss against the Flashes will all but kill our chances to win the East.

I'm anxious to see which Falcon team shows up at Dix Saturday.
