What has happened to Tyler? Is it the blocking scheme or the play calling?
Or is he not at talented as a quarterback? The article in ESPN maybe
went to his head. Any thoughts? I have need at the games.

Could be all of the above. Although I think he's pretty talented.

Sheehan had a bad game or 2? First I've heard of it.

What has happened to Tyler is that he's rushed and over anxious to make a play cuz he knows that he's the only offense we have set up at the moment with the pass only O. GB has almost ruined this qb because of it. The Mon. quotes from GB made me hope he actually takes his comments to heart and runs the frickin football to give Tyler a reprieve and take the huge burden of manufacturing all of our offense. Tyler is a fine Qb, he just needs a better designed offense to ease off the pressure. Not to mention his right arm needs the rest so it doesn't fall off.

ONE DIMENSONAL OFFENSE WILL NOT WIN FOOTBALL GAMES!!!!!!! THE OPPOSITION ONLY HAS TO RUSH 4 AND THE OTHER 7 CAN COVER RECEIVERS LIKE A BLANKET!!!!!! NEED RUNNING TO KEEP DEFENSE HONEST...IN THE US TODAY THERE WAS A ARTICLE ABOUT THE TOP TEN TEAMS AND THEIR PER-CENT OF PASSING AND RUNNING.......ALL WHERE ABOUT THE SAME.....50/50,45/55, 55/45... RUN LIKE WE DID LAST YEAR...NOTHING HAS CHANGED WITH THE PLAYERS.......RUN RIGHT UP THE ALL-CONFERENCE CENTER'S BEHIND, AND NOT OFF TACKLE.....

About the defense being able to gameplan so easily for our system, I keep seeing it said, and it's a great point. Generally I'd ask "If they're only bringing 4, why is there so much pressure on TS?", but then I think about the fact that they've got all 7 other players running coverage in the 5-to-15 yard area where we pass, and I realize that a good amount of the pressure on Tyler is probably from lack of options for getting rid of the ball. I haven't been able to watch much this year, but from watching what I have, I've seen at least a few coverage sacks, and I'm sure there were more. That cannot be doing much to help Tyler's confidence either.

In the Miami game most of the sacks definitely came after he had adequate time to deliver the ball in our quick hitting passing system. There was at least one instance where he also left the pocket for no apparent reason and ran into a sack as well.

Our OL is definitely not playing up to their standard or expectations either...there are times when simply rushing 4 is getting pressure on us and that sucks. Worse yet when teams do blitz a 5th guy we seem to rarely ever even get a piece of him on his way to the QB.

The entire offensive system has looked broken the last 2 weeks. Hard to really put the blame on any one thing. This is where balance comes in nicely. When you basically tell the defense what to defend against they'll eventually figure it out.

You know, last year after getting totally embarassed by Kent, we tried a lot of new things offensively against Ohio and had great success. They opened up the offense a lot, let AT do more, and naturally overwhelmed the bobcats. Any chance we may see a change this next week after being pretty badly embarassed?
