When I was at home a couple of weekends ago, I went along with my parents to a neighbor's house to watch some football. Unfortunately, it was the OSU game, but I ended up talking to a family friend about some things and he told me he had a relative (uncle, maybe?) who had played football for BG. He said his name was Walt Wagner (I'm pretty sure) and that he played here in the late '50s. He said he wasn't a star player or anything, but still, sound familiar to any BG football history buffs?
For anyone from the Columbus area who is familiar with local radio personalities, the neighbor in question is Mark "Daddy Wags" Wagner of QFM 96 fame. It was pretty cool to find out another one of my neighbors had ties to BG.

When I get home from work I'll look him up in my media guide. The media guide lists all former letterwinners as well as all former asst. coaches.
edit: Walter Wagner lettered in 1952 for Coach Robert Whittaker whose Falcons went 7-2. The team was led by all-Ohio FB Fred Durig and the only loses came at Miami and at Ohio.
