Why not have a thread started like this when it's after a good game for us. Someone always starts a negative thread after a bad loss.

I was living in ice arenas today and missed all of it. I heard from one man, that Bg was running the ball very effectively and how it must have thrown Kent for a loop. Then to read all the various threads and read the stats. i have no feeling for the game, but from what I have read of various accounts.....I am impressed. Looks like we became unpredictable.
Can some tell me about the formations we were running from...was it still the spread ie a more west coast style or were we in the I, wishbone etc.....curious as to how much change we made.

We pretty much ran the same formations we had been running, just figured out how to run the ball.

...finally :D

From radio it seemed like Winny was in blocking more often today than in games past. I thought I also heard of Winny in the slot too , which is weird.

We only ran about 5 plays in 5-wide, which is how it should be. We ran and passed out of 2 main personnel groups. 4-wide with Geter in the backfield, and 3 wide with Geter in the backfield and Winny either in Motion (think the QB draw play from last year), or lined up as a TE.

If we continue to be balanced, we'll score 30+ every game from here on out.

Yeah, I think the 5 wide has been way over used this year. 4 and 3 wide with a RB and TE/FB is the best formations to keep D's honest and to give TS more protection in the pocket.

GB coached today's game like his job was on the line. The game plan was outstanding and some of the calls were quite ballsy. Good for him and the rest of the offensive coaching staff for emphasizing the running game. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

I think coach Brandon must have been listening to me last week. I told him to get back to the running game or else ---- and I also emphasized the need for some gaget (razzle-dazzles) plays much like t hey used against OU last year. ---- He must have been listening as my game plan was his, gaget plays and all. It didn't take a brain surgeon to figure out what had to be done. ---- I wish they'd let me call the plays for just one game (tongue in cheek).

Yep -- you were the only one saying we needed to run the ball some more. Thank God you pointed that out for us, because most of us had no clue that balance would be good for the offense.

Well, Jacobs4heisman, does a sarcastic reply make you feel better. I was joking and said so... "tongue in cheek." Some of you people can be real jerks. If you don't understand the message, keep your reply to yourself.
