My gripe with other students after Sat.

I'm sure we're all familiar with some of the common complaints about our fans: they leave at halftime, they don't show if its not 70 and sunny, etc.
Well, after Saturday, I have two new ones.
The first is the most egregious. After having the opportunity to travel to Columbus and Norman the past two years, I have been able to witness first-hand how effective a large, smart crowd can be in turning the tide of the game. I am talking mainly about the first quarter here, but it is becoming increasingly evident that our fans have no idea how to conduct themselves at a football game. So, with a message to Falcon fans, let me make it easy with lesson number 1:
NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE CHEER AND USE THUNDER STIX WHEN YOUR TEAM IS TRYING TO GET A PLAY CALLED ON OFFENSE!!!!!!!!!!
For God's sake, this just seems like common sense to me, but it was clear Saturday that the majority of our fans are clueless, especially when its me and four other people making noise before WMU's 2nd and 10 plays.
I suppose that it really doesn't help when the cheerleaders are still cheerleading and the band is still playing while the play clock is running. Most other schools that I've been to pay attention to these kinds of things. I don't think that we do nearly enough, and with our program taking off we really need to. I'm certain that none of you around here are the problem, but if anyone is going to help change the culture of our fans it has to be us die-hards.
Two more things while I'm griping also:
1. I'm sick of stupid sorority girls who sit in the first few rows of the student section talking about how hot Cole is and basically wasting space that could be taken up by others who are actually there to see a game.
2. I'm not holding out much hope for a sellout this weekend because I bet its going to be very cold. I'm always amazed that people won't go to a football game because they wake up and say to themselves: "Holy crap, its not sunny and warm! What happened?" when they live in NW Ohio. Unfalconbelievable...
