OU turned the ball over EIGHT times in the glASS bowl Sat night. UT still needed a miracle to win the game.
OU turns it over 8 times against us, I see a 72-21 2002 special edition.
I hope Coach B throws the kitchen sink at OU to give the rest of the schedule something to ponder. Will they pass? Will they run? Are Sheehan and Turner in the game at the same time?
Sheet....now it gets fun....as long as the playbook stays fresh.

Wrong- if you turn it over eight times, a fumbled punt with 40 seconds left hardly qualifies as a miracle, just the normal course of events.

Had we started our Freshman QB I'm guessing we win handily. I'm also guessing as to why we didn't start our Freshman QB? OU is really bad on D against the run. Of course they run the ball really well. BG should win by 2 TDs.

I agree Freak.
We're in a great position right now.
We control our own destiny which is all we can really ask for, and after Kent, opposing D's have to be guessing as to what our O is going to do.
Give credit to coach B. Despite what many of us on here have said about in inability to adapt, he did it at Kent by putting the ball on the ground which opened up the passing game.

Miami lost to Temple.. we beat Temple.

If BG and Miami tie for the MAC East title, Miami takes precedence due to having beat us head to head. We need them to lose 2 division games and for us to win out in the East.

Well, not really. At last I don't think so.
What if Miami and BG win out? That would leave Miami, Buffalo and BG with 1 loss in the East.
Miami L to Temple, def. Buffalo, def. BG
Buffalo L to Miami, def. BG, def. Temple
BG L to Miami, def. Buffalo, def. Temple
Then wouldn't it come down to the cross over games or some other tie-breaker?
Buffalo is the only team that clearly controls its own destiny. The equation is simple - win out and win the East. Every other scenario is fraught with "if, then" statements.

Lets say we win out, as does Miami and Buffalo, except for when we beat them. We'd be in a three way tie at top of the conference. I believe the tie breaker is record in the west. Buffalo would be out assuming we beat both EMU and TOL because Buffalo lost to Ball St. Miami already beat Ball State. If they win their other west game, then I believe the next tie breaker would be head to head, which would go to Miami because they beat us. So my hope is that Buffalo loses to Kent and beats Miami, we win out, then we have sole posession of the east with no tiebreakers necessary.

Let's hold off on this year's edition of tie-breaker madness for a few more weeks.
