This is at least indirectly related to our injury report....but Sat. Temple's starting QB DiMichale, broke his SHIN against Miami...and Temple still beat the Redhawks with their 2nd string QB in.... BTW, with about 35 SECONDS to go in the game, (Miami had just scored to make it a 24-14 game and converted an onside kick), ABC (or Ch.5 in Cleve.) cut away from that game as MIAMI was THROWING A PASS! They went thru THREE commercials in a row.... when they came back on the air, it was for the general intro. to the OSU game...if the MAC doesn't "pitch a bitch" about this one, they're nuts...as it turned out...Miami scored on a FG (24-17), converted ANOTHER onside kick, but was penalized...converted still ANOTHER onside kick, and finally threw an INT. to end the game. Couldn't help but remember the famous HEIDI game of many years ago.
The other serious QB injury was to Kent's Edelman, who broke an arm late in our game.... Don't like to see anyone get hurt, much less their star QB, who played a heck of a game of "catch me if you can" with our D for much of the game.
MAC QB injuries + and another "HEIDI" game?

I was not able to watch on the Toledo locals.
They switched over to start showing the OSU warmups/pregame. A brilliant decision, especially considering the OSU game was also being aired on ESPN. This is the second time this year that these morons running the networks have put the OSU game on both ABC & ESPN.

Is that "all sports package" the one that gets you the FSN channels from around the country for $5 a month or something like that? I've looked into that, but since I have my Dish through AT&T, it looks like I've got about a thousand more hoops to jump through before I get to that point.Redwingtom wrote:Thanks to Dish Network's all sports package I was able to watch the end of this game on some obscure sports channel around 438 or something.

I'd love to know that as well. I've got the $5 Fox sports package as well. I left the room for awhile and came back to see the Ohio st. game on so I assumed it was over. Wish I would have known it might have been still on and I could have caught the end.TG1996 wrote:Is that "all sports package" the one that gets you the FSN channels from around the country for $5 a month or something like that? Seems like the MAC needs to tee it up a half an hour earlier. That might not be the best thing but at least the whole game will be on. I'm sure the switch is simply a business decision and that will always be the problem in this time slot.

Yes, that is the $5.99 all sports package that gives you all the foxsportsnet channels along with a host of others like NESN, MSG, etc. Most of these channels all show the same games, but occasionally you will get a different game. Also, any premium event will be blacked out. Although if the game happens to run past the allotted time you can always catch the ending for freeFalconTurf wrote:I'd love to know that as well. Define "premium event".... I had hoped to pick it up to catch MAC games on Fox Sports Ohio, as well as Blue Jackets games, along with Hurricanes games on Fox Sports South and some baseball out of Texas in the summer... are those the ones that get blacked out?Redwingtom wrote:Also, any premium event will be blacked out. Yes, all the professional sports games will be blacked out. How else would they sell the Extra Innings/Center Ice/Full Court type packages?TG1996 wrote:Define "premium event".... The way it works is you will get to watch the NHL/NBA/MLB games on any of those stations that are considered in your "region". Any of them that are out of your region will be blacked out.
I was afraid that would be the case... though $5.95 a month is probably still worth catching some MAC football and hoops, with the occasional CCHA game.
