Early forecast for Akron?

:D :D :D 8) 8)

Sunny and a high of 55. Wed says partly cloudy and 66! I know not the expect more than 10,000 this week because of a few factors.

One, most people don't leave work until 5ish so that will hurt.

Two, High School playoff games begin this week and we all know how BiG HS football is in Ohio.

Three, I'm sure Saturday's loss to OU put a damper on some folks' enthusiasm.

At any rate, should be a beautiful evening for football and I am breaking the Freaklings out of school early. Still gotta get Mrs. Freak's coffee downtown and make a stop at the book store.

We should be there no later than 4:30.

GO FALCONS!!! ZAP THE ZIPS!!!

Mike, Is it just ME or is anyone else concerned about the "weird" starting times for our games this year? Seems to me if you want to have a FAMILY WEEKEND (and hope that many will go to the FB game), you don't START A GAME at SIX PM( when many families might be starting for home).... Would have been more apropos for a 3pm start IMO...and yes, I know that TV MAY have played a small part in this, but now we're playing Akron on Friday at an even later start time...your points about HS football are basically "right on" again IMO...I have several friends who could've used my 2 tix (since Joyce and I are in the President's box for this one)...but most of them go to the BEST HS matchup game they can find and do this throughout the playoffs.

Den,

I think those are very valid points. I'm sure we'll be able to stretch out in the Doyt this week. :x I was watching UCF/So Miss last night and that stadium was half empty. USM is having a weird season.

Mike, here's another point...DURING the game, my brother from Texas called me on my cellphone, said, "What a Crappy crowd!" Of course, he's looking from the West Side of the stadium where we sit at the East side, which NEVER has more people in it for regular games. Wonder why we don't set up the TV equipment etc. on the East side, so at least the West side shows on TV?

THAT is a great question, Den. Put the TV cameras on the EAST SIDE!!!!

I don't see them doing it anytime soon, you want your logo to be on TV. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it true for every stadium and team that the TV camera's are placed on the West side of the stadium?
