I have been trying to be optimistic about this season. In reality,
I thought we would lose against Minnesota, so I should be pleased.
However, I am not pleased. Our team is not that good. I think we should
be good, but we can't seem to get over the hurdle. I believe the loss
against Ohio was a game we should have won at home. With that
being said, and I have said in past posts that Brandon is doing a good job, it is now my opinion that we need a new coach. The program continues to
decline. It is depressing. We should be able to win all of our remaining games. However, we could loose all of them. We need a change.

if there's something to be optimistic about maybe its this...

i, like all falcon fans would LOVE to see a mac championship, or even an international bowl season...and we had a BIG chance this year for even more perhaps....boston, minn, mich state... we could have gotten some REAL name recognition. however, we lost 2 of 3 there. ok...there's still the mac...well thats slipping away too. now i've got something else to hope for...i hope that the school sees all this squandered talent and the pattern of mediocrity and FIRES Brandon. thats what i'm optimistic about these days. however, i'm also a cynic....or a realist as i like to call it... and the all mighty $ will probably win out and brandon will be here as long as that fat dude with the whistle up north. seems nobody puts together the winning season = high attendance riddle. spend money to make money...hire a good coach. look at what ohio state did... got a 1aa coach who is now one of the best college coaches in the country. we could do that! find a decent aa or even a coach from a big high school program (remember the rumor last year?) and give him a short contract. don't sign him for 3 years, don't commit to anything yet...except getting rid of brandon.

it isn't being a follower to call for his dismissal, its logic. look at his regime...have we had anything really to be exciteed about? as he gains more control we suck more and more. plus the blaiming of players is entirely uncalled for.

No coach would ever sign a contract for less than 3 years, that's just plain dumb. If you want to take a risk on someone like that you have to give them at least 3 years to get the type of players they want do whatever it is they want to do with thier new program.

Exactly, what recruit would sign with a program that has a 1st year coach under a 1 or 2 year contract?

What DI-AA coach is coming for slightly more money (maybe) and no security? Probably one we don't want.

High school to college without extensive college coaching experience is too risky unless you are willing to gamble with destroying the whole program because nobody is willing to take the position.

I would think with the Sebo Center, new turf, other upgrades and a rich tradition in football, there would be quite a bit of interest in the job at BG...IF GB is let go.

4 games to go in the regular season. I think we can all agree it's now or never for this staff.

Yes...we simply can't have another finish like we did last year. Gary Blackney had a few years like this in the late 90's...lose 3 or 4 win 2 or 3, never really establishing a winning formula or a consistent approach.

It's frustrating because the team is capable of playing some really good football, but it seems that once something goes wrong everything kind of falls off with it.
