The news just keeps getting better and better (sarcasm!). This article says Corey might not be able to go at WR and Geter might be out for the season.

Wow, Geter in my opinion was becoming the best player on the team. I heard it was an ankle sprain, hopefully it's not one of those dreaded high ankle sprains if it is he could be done till our bowl game  .

When you look at our preseason depth chart, we are essentially down to our 4th string RB this weekend. Ransom is out for the year, Geter could be out for the year, Bullock may as well be out for the year, and Macon, who was moved to WR, was moved back to RB and is likely going to be the starter again.

Good thing Macon has been running well. Damn, if we lose Geter for the rest of the year... :(

Is Bullock hurt? I don't remember reading about him getting injured but I know he was in the coaches' doghouse for a while.

What about Curtis Van Demark? He's a RS Soph and has good size at 6-2, 215...might he get a look?

Having Geter and Ransom would be the bomb.

First of all, I recognize your sarcasm, but I want to say that the only bowl we're heading for right now is the toilet bowl!

I think we'll finish with a winning record, but I don't see that getting us to a bowl game!

I didn't say Bullock was injured...I was asking cuz I haven't seen him on the field for a while. Anyone know for certain?

Sorry to thread hijack a little here, but the bottom of that link had me surprised.

"In the last 30 days, the quarterback has gone from being interviewed by national media services to looking unprepared and unsure of himself. He is no longer calling audibles, a task that is now being done by Brandon and offensive coordinator Mick McCall."

I had no idea we had a Qb that was calling his own audibles, something Omar never ever did I recall. So pre-BC TS was looking like the second coming of Joe Montana *sarcasm* and calling his own audibles and post-BC he's fallen apart and can't call anything anymore? :? I don't know of anyone who could screw up a Qb like GB has done here, its purely stunning.

Simple fact is if GB had some common sense about our offense, that BC game fiasco wouldn't have happened. If that game is somewhat competitive and TS wasn't running for his life all day and attempting to manufacture an offense out of nothing he'd probably be the same Qb as the first 2 games dinged shoulder aside. Sorry for the rant , just had to get that off my chest.

I hope that the injuries to Corey and Willie don't cause this team to tank the rest of the season. There's still much to play for, and still a crack at the MAC East crown. My biggest worry going into Friday is that the confidence of this team, especially on offense, is going to wain without these two talented young men. It's time for guys like Marques Parks, Chris Wright, Derek Brighton etc. to step up and fill in for Corey, and for Bullock and Macon to fill in for Willie.

Maybe they think we get to draft players like the NFL or something...I'd watch out for tanking.
