A win is a win is a win.

1) Glen Stanley. This kid has been a BEAST filling in for Haneline. EIGHTEEN tackles Friday night, including 1.5 TFL. Only a freshman, Stanley is getting it done.

2) Chris Bullock and Dan Macon...gave us much needed rushing yards in the 2nd half off the bench. 5 carries for 51 yards for CB, 4 carries for 41 yards for DM.

3) Shane Steffy...>HUGE fumble recovery in the end zone. SS simply never gave up on the play and hustled after that loose ball. Turns out we needed every TD.

4) Sean O'Drobinak...his knockdown of Andy Schmitt's pass late in the game was a HUGE play as well. O'Drab was SCREAMING at the D players in the first half to get them motivated. Great to see the SR taking charge.

Any other nominees?

Anthony Turner – He can simply do it all, and he has been! He is helping us out in so many ways right now and I think he’s a much better asset in his “slash” role than just as a QB. I am so glad this kid has his head on straight because he could have easily put his tail between his legs and have gotten down about things. But instead, he’s responded in many ways. I chalk it up to a real sign of maturity. We are now finally seeing the football player we thought AT could be, just in different roles.

Sinisa Vrvilo – The kid has just been money. His making his FG’s and PAT’s and his kickoffs are getting better as well. I loved seeing some touchbacks in the EMU game and it’s just great to watch us attempt a FG this year and expect it to go through the uprights instead of holding your breath wondering how the kick was going to miss by being wide, short or blocked like last year. I haven’t felt this good about a kicker since Brian Leaver.

Angelo Magnone - I don't know what else to say about him, other than that he is an absolute animal out there and always seems to be the one creating big plays at the first level when he is in there. The commentators for ESPN were fawning all over him, too. It was hard to watch him play on Friday and at the same time acknowledge that he is just a RS freshman. He's going to be fun to watch over the next few years.

And, as always, Freddie Playmaker. Damn is he good.

OL - We didn't allow a sack and moved the ball without much resistance all game. They did a great job of giving Tyler time to throw and if needed, time to scramble. The push they got on the running game was also huge.

P.J. Mahone - The kid just keeps growing up. He was freaking everywhere and was one of only a handful of guys to properly tackle anyone all night. The ESPN guys were all over him as well, with Luginbill calling him a ball hawk.

WR Corps - A lot of guys made some important catches, and it's been great to see guys like Kelley and Pronty make an impact on big plays. These guys are gonna be scary good next year.

Roger Williams. Another great kick-off return to start the game to give us great field position. He also made a huge stick on kick-off coverage later in the game.

Gotta also give a shout out to Coach Brandon. We have been screaming for years that he does not make any adjustments at half-time. He certainly did this game and it paid off with a great third quarter.

Dudes, those all are great. Angelo Magnone is definitely a beast as well. Mahone? Kids just shows up at the right place at the right time. AT continues to be a very effective weapon. Vrvilo...one of my fave players on the team...$$$$$ as 33 said. Williams...another kid who is making plays every game out. OL...very solid. FB....what a terrific athlete. Yeah, his drop in the end zone was crazy but nobody's perfect. Kelley, Parks, Wright and Pronty have all stepped up in CP's absence. This unit could be brutal on opposing D's the next few years.

And RWTom is correct. Coach B made the proper adjustments in the 2nd half and we got the job done. There are NO easy road games in the MAC. Just get the W and get on the bus...nice and simple. :-D I'd rather win ugly than lose pretty any day. The tackling is still a very sore spot and needs to improve greatly.

Now, BG has won 3 out of the last 4...with a BiG game at Buffalo. The Bulls will be ready...BG has been here before. I think we'll be more than ready.

So, are we still in a downward spiral? Just having fun...and it is fun when you're winning.
