My 2nd favorite MAC team

And I'm not just saying that 'cause I want you guys to crush the Herd this week.

For some reason, I just like you guys. I've got nothing against the likes of NIU and UT, but I'm hoping for a rematch of last years' MACC. Help us (and you, for that matter) out. Destroy the deserters!

I have always considered Miami, OU and Kent sorta "sister schools. Probably goes back to when I was in school, with the "old" MAC.

You probably like us because we have so much trouble beating you guys. And yeah, I would love to see a rematch too.

I'm with you on OU and Kent, but I hate Miami so bad it makes my head hurt.

I guess I'm like you RedHawk65. I'm a die-hard BG fan, but if I had to pick a second favorite school in the MAC, it would be Miami - beautiful campus, great academics, good athletics, I even like the school colors. I also think the BG/Miami rivalry is a good one. It's a little heated a times, but always a respectful one.

Not sure I'm with you on OU, but that's another story. In either case, BEAT MARSHALL!

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of OU either, but Miami is okay in my book.

I don't like Miami but I respect what their program has done thru the years. I hate the fact that only ONE team in the MAC has a winning record against us...Miami. We closed the gap after the '97 win but then lost 6 straight!
At any rate, Miami ALWAYS comes to play and they play fair. No dirty tricks or cheap shots. Tough but good sportsmanship.
But I don't like youse!

I was up over the weekend to catch the WMU game since Miami wasn't playing and BG is my 2nd favorite MAC team, too. BG played well and Omar looked good. I think your chances of beating Marshall are very good. Put pressure on Hill, get a body on Goddard and you'll do fine. GO FALCONS!

What the heck is all this "nicey-nice" stuff?!!!
That's what being in opposite divisions has done for us! The only thing I love about BG is that the girls are notoriously easy!
That being said, "BEAT MARSHALL!"

Hey now, this isn't an OU board. Some of us BG fans can like Miami too. "Can't we all just get along?"

Who said having easy girls was a bad thing?
In all seriousness, the difference between Miami v. OU, Miami v. BG, and all the "old time" MAC rivalries is that there is mutual respect there. Marshall never had that with anyone in the conference.
I always root for all the MAC schools outside of the conference, except the Huntington Institute for Situational Ethics.
If Marshall were playing Al Qaeda, I'd root for Al Qaeda. 8)

Odd that this advice is coming from a Miami fan.
Should have used it yourself.

Goddard is a stud, and he's hard to stop. You can't stop him; you can only hope to convict him.

Bowling Green will be EVERYONE'S 2nd favorite team the next 2 weeks. The whole season we had to hope against hope for soem help to get us to the MACC. We'll we got half of it.
If EMU can pull out a win over NIU it will be complete. Beating marshall this week will put them out of the running, and allow Akron or Miami to play for the MAC title. The next week(assuming WMU beats NIU) the toledo/BG game will decide the other entry into the MACC game. WE are now the ones being depended on by other teams. The roles have reversed, and you better believe there will be countless other teams and school cheering for us the next 2 weeks.
