No we don't. Nothing on this earth is worth UT getting anything. Plus I just don't see EMU beating NIU. I'd rather NIU stay ranked, we beat UT and Marshall, and ride a top twenty-five rank into a bowl game. Because even if UT wins, and NIU beats E-MOO, we still don't get the title game.

I don't expect UT to win anyway, so I'm also not going to give them any support as they ride to the second loss in a row....on TV again.

I look at it this way. NIU is currently ranked #22 or something like that. Oklahoma is currently ranked #2. I mean if NIU can climb a couple of spots I think that looks good on BG. I will could never root for the U of Toileto. NIU is gonna beat EMU all we can do is win out and hope that a Bowl selection committee thinks BG's worthy of a bowl.

So who should I root for? If NIU wins tonight, that won't break your spirits or anything like that for the Masrhall game, will it? I just hope you guys don't go 9-2 and get screwed out of a bowl game like the 10-2 NIU team of last year, or the 10-1 Miami team of '98. I am saying "I hope NIU loses". No way will I root for UT. I sincerely hope NIU loses. But if NIU wins, more power to them. This will be their year with a win tonight and, whether there were ugly wins or not for NIU, the Huskies have done what they needed to do to this point.

Besides, If BG can't win the West, I sure as hell don't wanna see UT win it!

I must root for Toledo. As far as MAC west champs goes...IT AIN'T OVER TIL THE FAT LADY SINGS and if UT loses, the song and dance are over for BG.

Right. So for those of you that can't get yourself to pull for the Rockets or won't root for Toledo, then "pull for NIU to lose." It boils down to the same thing. I'm a die-hard BG fan, and i dislike Toledo.....A LOT......but if pulling for UT means I've got to root for Toledo to help BG in any way, I do it. I'll do just about anything for my Falcons. If that example isn't proof enough, I don't know what is.

I highly doubt NIU will lose twice, let alone once. But if it's BG's only chance to have a shot of its own to win the West and go to the MACC again, I've got to do it.

If only we would have beaten NIU, or if UCF or Ball State could have held on against NIU....it never would have come to this. But it has.

You are free to cheer for whomever you like. But as a die hard BG fan I will never root for UT and I don't care what the cost might be.

We had our chance to win a title on the field, but we blew it. I held out only a slight feeling that they might lose two games, and then only that it was technically possible. It hasn't happened yet, and I don't expect it will. If it does, and we also beat UT on the road, great, ducky, wonderful. But I don't waste time in my life cheering for the rockettes, it isn't worth it, even if its for BG's gain.

I'll root against UT because I don't want the illiterate punks thinking next week is some kind of title game. I want them to know their year is over. I want them to already feel lousy when we go north and add misery to their lives. I want to gloat about how the rockets started the season stinking up the world of college football, and ended it by watching three better MAC teams lay waste to their team and send them home, which all of them play in bowls.

I don't just want UT to lose, I want them to suffer.

Toledo will feel much worse if it's BG that knocks them out of contending for the MAC west title. 2 years ago, we went into the glass bowl with a chance to move on for the title game, we blew it, and they went to the title game. I will never forget that feeling. ::puke::

What better revenge than to go in their place and beat them and be the spoiler? What better way to put pain and agony on Toledo? I would prefer that BG get's that pleasure and that memory. It's good to beat them, but it's even better to be the reason why they are sitting at home.

It's not like we are rooting for them because we like them. We are rooting for them because we can use them to help us. So why not have toledo help us, Toledo losing kills all hopes. If we still have a chance at the west title it's something we should all still be shooting for. Everyone on here talks about how important winning the west and getting a bowl is, but yet you can't bring yourself to root for UT for the good of BG. That's dumb. If Toledo wins I still believe EMU has the weapons to beat NIU. Then it would come down to BG/UT for the title. That would be sweet. ...personally I don't see NIU winning tonight. Toledo has owned them at home and on the road.

I'd love nothing more than to see the Rockettes limp into the Glass Bowl after a severe beating at the hands of the Huskies, playing for only the faint glimmer of hope of a bowl game, only to have the Falcons pound them by about 60 points. Then the Falcons can get the MAC's third bowl game and leave Coach Imstufft to gorge himself on Moon Pies and Pork Rinds until the spring game, at which time he can post bail for his returning seniors.

Actually two years ago when we played Toledo we had no shot at going to the championship because if we would have beaten Toledo, NIU would have gone to the championship game. In that scenario BG and NIU would have both been 7-1 with NIU winning head to head. At least I'm pretty sure NIU was 7-1 in conference.
