What was the basis for the replay review?

QB over the line of scrimmage before the pass is all that we could come up with.

I think originally the official misunderstood and thought that Amstutz wanted to challenge the catch and then said something about there being nothing to review.

Then the booth intervened, rightly so as it was a close call.

RWT is correct. Sheehan's planted foot was just behind the line. His leading foot was in front of the line, but it wasn't obvious enough to call it an illegal forward pass.

The greatest part of the play was barnes was upset he didn't make the catch. Love that attitude.

I'm still stunned by that play. I've not seen a game which everything bounced our way since the NIU game in 2003 and before that, it was 1992.

Cool, thanks. I actually thought he had dropped it, and then I saw sparks flying out of the cannon, and I figured out what happened.

I was laughing at the cannon. Wright looked like he got shot by the thing! Even the announcers were laughing.

It's remarkable to me that more players don't soil their pants in that situation.

(We were laughing, too).

Why does everyone keep on lamenting the fact that we "got all the breaks yesterday"?

First off, normally you make your own breaks by hard work and effort.

Second, Toledo got an even luckier bounce (that went off of three different players) before Nick Moore caught it and that lead to their FG.

Third, after their safety (which was a break for us) they got a lucky break on the punt and we lost about 30 yards of field position.

Since I am "everyone", I will answer that. I'm not speaking of "luck." I'm speaking everything - and I mean EVERYTHING - was working. Regardless of effort there are times when even the best laid plans don't "click."

That's what I am speaking of. Luck has very little to do with my point of view. I never once stated that BG was "lucky" to win yesterday.
