UT Game balls...

Falcons roll over UT and today is a lovely day. :-D

I have one game ball to give out today....

To Coach Gregg Brandon. We executed, had very few mistakes and made plays all night. The team was ready and even when the Rockets threatened to make it a game, we came right back and took Mr. MO away. We played with urgency and determination...the team KNEW what it means to win THIS game. Time to end another ugly streak at the GB next year. We held the vaunted UT running game to 66 measly yards. The D took heat all year but has been MUCH better the last few weeks.

Coach has taken his lumps and he's made mistakes. But he also corrected things and now we sit at 8-4, 6-2 MAC. No MACC appearance sux but we are going bowling...no doubt about that. At the beginning of the season, I thought 8-4, 6-2 would be a very successful year. The man deserves a contract extension. The man deserves credit for getting BG back near the top. Way to be, Coach B.

I had such a great time rockin' with everyone in the stands...tailgating, singing Ay Ziggy Zoomba right next to the Jambulance after the game.

GREAT FOOD!!!!!! Sorry to see the regular season come to a close. :(

We have one more to go...

ROLL ALONG>>>>>

Jermiah Kelly, PJ Mahone, & Glen Stanley. Also a game ball goes out to myself for cheering until I lost my voice! I took your advice Freak, and it worked out well. I only got a few weird looks and the crowd overall was a lot more fired up & into it on 3rd downs!

I thnk Jermiah Kelly and PJ Mahone deserve mention as well...both were starting because of injuries but both of them came through with performances that matched the quality of the starters they replaced.

Flip, No offense, but PJ has been starting for quite awhile now...Kelly, on the other hand, has really proven to be a valuable addition in his limited action.

PJ is going to be a force to reckon with in the BG Secondary for the next couple years. I still say, for those of you who either saw him play in HS or saw his HS Highlight reel, that he could be in the BG backfield on offense as well. But hey, 7 INTs is great!

I'd like to add Pete Winovich to the list. A guy we haven't mentioned much this season that has been playing really hard. He had 5 catches for 25 yards, including that clutch fake FG catch early in the game. Also had a 3rd down catch in which he ran through 2 tacklers to set up a 1st and goal. Great game by Pete!

None taken...the point I'm trying to make is that he starts now because Sanderson is injured...Stanley, Kelly, PJ...they all started recently due to injuries and they all played really well.

Depth is a wonderful thing to have in November

Gotta give one to AT. He really faked UT real well in that touchdown pass and gave us a whole lot of momentum. Also had that really nice TD run along with all of his other runs and catches. I also liked the play where he was going to throw it but saw nobody open and decided not to force the throw but to run it instead. Last year, he probably would have tried to force the throw. That shows a lot of growth in him as a player.

I think Coach Ward deserves the first one!!!! After all, he devised the plan that held the leading offense in the MAC to 10 points!! :D

I'd like to add Michael Ream. He's had his fair share of difficulties this year, but the coaches have hung with him to get everything corrected, and he's been a force up front since he was inserted back into the lineup. He was key in shutting down Parmele and being in the face of Lenehan and Cochran multiple times.
