With respect to a possible opening at Colorado State.....
"How do you replace a legend? It's a job too big for any single coach.
But picking up the telephone and making calls to Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Steve Fairchild or Bowling Green head coach Gregg Brandon, both of whom have extensive ties either to CSU or this state, would be a wise place to start"
I thought the media would start name dropping after next year when we win the MAC, but....whatever

It's no secret that Brandon's spent a good time of his life in Colorado. I do wonder if he's seriously considering the job or if he may use it as a negotiating tool for a new contract. With the deal Miller got last year I'm sure he'd like to re-up with some bigger cash.
Rather than get into the eventual screaming match that would come with a discussion on renewing Brandon's contract, I'll just say that this is probably just some writer throwing names out.

I agree. Fairchild makes a lot more sense given that he's actually coached at CSU. Brandon's a middle-aged man who went to high school in Colorado and only went back for a brief periof of time recently because he was following his boss.
Urbie has publicly bashed CSU for having inferior facilities, so you could only imagine the advice he's giving Brandon privately. It's highly unlikely Brandon would want to be swimming upstream in that league after just getting the Sebo Center built and having so many young players in place here.

This is just some writer jerking off...no question about it...I just think it's funny to read stuff like this after we spent so much time, effort and energy on "fire Brandon", "extend Brandon?" and "last chance for Brndon" discussions...

All the members of the media do, just like the moron who is thinking Cowher would consider the MI job, or actually seek it out.
