I'd like to know -- and I don't know -- if Miami can fall to the International Bowl with a win.

Do the top two bowls have to take division champions? Or can they leave a division winner for the International Bowl?

It's kind of a key question.

If the latter scenario is the case, and Hack is right, then I'm not sure why the GMAC is waiting on its selection. They could pick Bowling Green right now.

Of course, the way I read Hack's article, he's selling BG to the GMAC as much as he's predicting.

If BG does end up in the GMAC Bowl, I will find a way to get Mrs. Freak and myself down to Mobile. After missing this bowl in 2004, and hearing what a blast it is, ain't no way I will miss it again.

GO FALCONS!!!!

37-10.

Not 100% sure but I don't think the GMAC Bowl is obligated to take a participant from the MAC Championship game. In 2004 they selected us for the GMAC Bowl before Toledo played Miami in the MAC Championship game. I seem to remember though that since the MAC now has 3 bowl tie-ins the MAC Championship game participants are guaranteed a bowl game(assuming they are bowl-eligible). I don't think it necessarily has to be one of the top 2 bowl games though.

My guess is that a big Central win with their QB as big a double threat guy as he is, might tip the balance toward Central. They'd be an eight win team with a marquee player, but I'm also sure that the MCB would love to have Central, with BG second for travel reason

I think you hit it, Schade. Methinks Hack prefers BBQ & Golf to Molson and Canadian bacon.

Actually, the smarter play in Mobile might be seafood. I did barbecue last time, and I did well. But I think seafood is the real thing there.
