Ahhh...Grass.

And my favorite player I've ever watched at BG.

And a win.

And 2 Liters of Jaeger.

That was a very good day...what I remember of it...

It's hard to tell which game was better. I'd say the NIU game was the bigger victory of the two, but its always nice to BEAT TOLEDO

The picture is around here somewhere, but my life's greatest achievement was done that day: F--- UT on the hill in the snow.

Then some Athletic department choch came over and spent 20 minutes kicking it out.

Please don't inflate my ego anymore. ... But yes, it was me. Heck, I think I was mostly bored. (Not me in the photo.)

You know, I thought about that when I went back to the browser window that I pulled it up in. Google Image Search messed with me.

Both were great days, but I was only able to make the UT game... beers before, during and after the game, followed by more beers, followed by a hockey game, followed by some unpleasantness in the alley beside Spots... :smt078

That pick goes to show you how far our tailgating has come. That whole area would be filled with cars and people for a game this year.

We were out there pretty early, but you're still right.

I'm still amazed, and in love with it. When I was a Sophomore we started tailgating for every game. We would get out there 3-4 hours before the game and would be the first people out there every game. Friends always told us we were nuts.

My senior year was Urban's first year and things improved a bit, but still we were usually the first ones out there. Finally by '03 we started to have big tailgate crowds for most of the games, but we were usually the first guys out there about 5-6 hours prior to kickoff.

The past 2 seasons have really seen the tailgating kick off in a big way. BG Fan & Falcon Fanatic spending the night out there in their RV, and there are other RVs with 'em too. I've still been getting out there 6 hours early and there has usually been a good crowd already.

I don't know what it is, but the game atmosphere is light years over where it was just 5 short years ago. Personally, I'm loving it, because I love tailgating, and I honestly believe this year was the best tailgating year ever. We had amazing food, great people, and even a live band for one of the games. I hope the trend continues!
